I am a sort of an inbetween size when it comes to shirts, so I chose the XL size (figuring I could still wear it if it is a little too large) and I was pleased to discover that the fit is perfect! This shirt is 97% cotton and 3% spandex which makes it feel light on the body, and comfortable in the heat. The vents near the collar also help me from getting overheated on a hot day. In fact this shirt is cooler than the tee shirts I normally wear, and whole lot nicer looking. The breast pockets have a flap that closes with velcro as opposed to snaps or buttons. This keeps things from falling out while you are moving around or bending over while working on a job. The tapered flap is easily opened with a slight tug of your opposing hand. In addition, there is a second left side breast pocket behind the outer one accessible with a zipper. A great use for this would be for keeping a notepad or other papers handy. When I still smoked, I would have kept my pack of cigarettes in it. The only thing that seems to be missing is the little slot on the left breast pocket flap for a pen, or pencil. Adding one of these would be the only imrovement that I can think of. Did I mention that this shirt has built in stress relievers behind each shoulder blade? They eliminate the binding tightness that is felt when bending forward to use your arms for something such as using a breaker bar under the hood of the car. This shirt looks nice, and is very comfortable whether it is tucked in to your pants or left to hang loose. The care insructions are simple, cold wash casual setting and low delicate dry cycle with no fabric softener. The photo is of the shirt after it was washed.
97% light cotton 3% spandex- cool stretch. Durable double stitched seams. Extra button. Mesh on neck interior and vented back for cool comfort. 2XL seemed true to size. Large front pockets with velcro close. Haven't owned this long--just doing initial review. Seems like a good shirt for hot work or looks good for casual wear.
The construction of the shirt is excellent. The stitch work and seams are correct. The fabric is 97% cotton and 3% spandex. It gives sturdy but flexible feel to the shirt. The short sleeves are elbow length, which provides more coverage than a t-shirt and thus hides any shirts worn under it. It also allows that rolled-up sleeve look if you prefer. The cotton is naturally breathable, but they also have a mesh vent across the shoulders. Nice touch. Velcro pocket closure on the two chest pockets, with a hidden zipper pocket behind the left pocket — the two pockets share the same location but have a mesh-material keeping them separate. A roomy neck even if buttoned. I'm sure to get years of service from this shirt, mostly for fun & adventure — hiking in my case. The one personal taste is the color. It has the trendy light brown similar to other working-clothes brands. Blue collar isn't blue anymore, it's brown.
this is not you run of the mill work shirt it look good tuck in or out ,you can work very hard and sweaty and still look good. the pockets have Velcro's to keep them closed yeah no button great for gloves the arm have extra room no more ripped arm pits, there a opening at the shoulder to help keep you cooler ,this is a prefect shirt for Forman leads or company that would like there employs to work hard and still look good
Quality and fit are excellent. I ordered the next larger size as recommended and the fit is perfect. Extra zipper for second pocket in back of the velcro top pocket is very helpful for work. I can hold a pen and reading glasses in separate pockets which for me is a big deal. Safety glasses don't fall out when bending over and the pen doesn't scratch the glasses. Highly recommended.
I work and play in the humid south and have been wearing this brand of work shirt for over a year now. I have tried so many brands over the years and none compare to Wells! The equivalent brand of this shirt feels far inferior. These shirts have a great well-crafted feel, are very light weight, offer incredible ventilation and when you bend over, the shirt is long enough that it still has plenty of length to keep your body covered unlike a lot of other brands, I like that, It is amazing! This brand has held up well for me after the many years of using their products, and that includes everything from landscaping 8 hours a day, painting, hunting, or just some recreation. Oh, and an added benefit, they look amazing and never wrinkle like so many of the competing brands out there. Seriously, I just fold them and put them away in the drawer and when I need one the shirts, they come out perfect every time, no ironing needed. Overall, this is a great shirt, especially for the price. These shirts also have a good wicking, so they keep you cool during the hot days of summer.
I love this Wells Lamont shirt! My shirt is the black short sleeve one. The black really makes the Wells Lamont logo stand out. The size I ordered was 2X and it fit me perfectly. This is a nice shirt for work but I have worn mine fishing and it keeps you comfortable. The back has a flap which allows air to get in and keep you cool. The fabric evaporates sweat very quickly for when you are in the sun. The front has nice big pockets for carrying whatever you need. Also, the shirt flexes with your movements so it doesn't bind up on you. I have received a lot of compliments on how attractive the shirt is and my buddies love the cool logo. I definitely recommend getting one of these shirts for work or pleasure!
This is a very well made shirt and all though it is a work shirt, it is also a stylish casual wear shirt. Great for night of bowling or a trip to your favorite eatery. I used it last weekend to mow the lawn, it was a very hot day and I did sweat because of the sun beating down on me, so I can not speak as to the effectiveness of the vented back. All over the shirt is very versatile. The sizing of the shirt for me anyway, ran very large, I would order a size smaller than what you usually wear.
This is an all black shirt with a tiny logo on one of the chest pockets. This work shirt has breathable mesh vents on the backside, near the neck line. The material is a flex fabric - 97% cotton and 3% spandex. It is supposed to be scent reducing, but I have not found that to be the case one way or the other. It does however induce moisture wicking when really hot. You can wash this with like colors and tumble dry on low heat as you would other spandex. I got the XXL and it was a good fit for a larger man. --BUT-- it does shrink after the first washing. The chest area is nice and loose, however it did shorten and will likely be an untucked only shirt. So if you are not only big, but also tall, that is something to take into consideration. I am 6'4" 260lb. You can iron it, but it is pretty much a wash and wear shirt. Overall, excellent shirt.
Not a bad work shirt, I just don't care how heavy the material is, in the hot Arizona weather this will be uncomfortable. The sizes are off, Its one size larger than I actually wear, so make sure you down size 1 step when ordering. It is a very well made shirt, with 2 nice pockets. Stitching is heavy and well made, very tight on the stitches, should hold up to heavy working loads. This is an out in the field, mechanic, blue collar worker shirt, don't even think to try and wear it in the office. collar nice height but a bit stiff and scratchy. The bottom of the shirt has tails for easy to tuck into your pants. For the guy that's into machinery and under the hoods of cars this would probably fit the bill really good, that's what I will be wearing it for.
