Wemo In-Wall Indoor Smart Switch, No Hub Required

Great switch , very easy to install but you have to have the white wire to use it. If you have only 2 wires the switch is not going to work. I installed about 9 of them and they are working fine. You can control your light from anywhere in the world. We will buy more. Also you can crest your own schedule to turn light on and off. Thanks

Nice switch but if you're installing 3 switches Wemo should make cover plates for 2 and 3 switches.

Product was received quickly and works as advertised. Especially liking the 2 second hold features this generation is equipped with. Installation was quick and painless took approximately 10 minutes to do. Pairing with both the google home assistant and apple HomeKit was simple as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install with excellent diagrams. Anyone with the basic understanding of electricity should be able to install these switches. I have about 15-20 Wemo switches, dimmers and sockets. I haven't had a single issue as far as quality of construction and engineering. My only issue is the Wemo switch and dimmer (the internal part hidden behind wall plate) is much larger than your normal light switch. This can make 3 gang and 4 gang difficult. Plan ahead!

I bought this to replace a 10-year-old non-Wi-Fi light switch to control her front porch scheduling feature and the ability to control it from anywhere is great

The Wemo Smart Light Switch is a great addition to any home's smart technology network. I used these switches for exterior lighting that I wanted to control with a nightly schedule and they work perfect. The switch looks grest and was fairly easy to install. The only downside to this product that kept it from a five star rating was the App setup process. I'm consider myself to have intermediate technology skillls and connecting this product to my network took quite a bit of effort that was not explained in the user manual. However, once connected to my network the App is easy to use and setup.

The Wemo light switch requires a few things you may not have. One is a neutral wire. Some household wiring runs only have one leg of the wiring going through the electrical box. The second item is space. A small or congested box may challenge the replacement of a much smaller standard switch with the Wemo. A third caution is that 3-ways are not supported. Wemo is a great product and I have installed a good number of switches but its size could be smaller. A version using a battery to provide the necessary wifi power would also be a plus.

It wasn't until I impulse purchased these for a good price that I realized how few places I can really use them. The limits on them are high--no multi-gang or lights with multiple switches really limits the places I would want to use this--no front porch (multi gang), no living room (multi-switch), no master bedroom (multi-switch). Before purchasing, I highly recommend you examine your home to see where you could use them. I installed one in a second bedroom just to test, and it works fine. I don't like the button feel at all, however. It feels squishy and imprecise. Would skip on them, given the opportunity again.
