Nice blocks, shipped and arrived quick. Each block is wrapped in oiled paper for prolonged protection. Nicely machined surface with the edges chamfered approx. 0.0205 in, the corner remain sharp points. The holes have a rough chamfer, looking like multiple passes were done to cut the chamfer instead of using a chamfering bit to cut a clean and perfectly circular chamfer. This is not an issue for me. I plan on purchasing more in the future.
To be clear...the description says 23 threaded and cross drilled holes. There are 23 holes that go all the way through, but only 5 are tapped. I knew that ahead of time, but if you buy this expecting 23 tapped holes, you will be disappointed.
If you're a crafter that frequents YouTube, you've probably run across someone using these and wondered if they're worth it. Thankfully WEN came out of nowhere and offered these at a cheaper-than-the-hype price. These things are frigging awesome, and I can't begin to imagine what all I'm going to use them for. Sure, they're square, and measured in increments. But on top of that, each hole is threaded allowing you to turn these into the most versatile vices, tabletop clamps, screw presses, or basically anything else of the like ever conceived. They also have a good heft, so you can use them as weights for items that need securing while a glue cures. DON'T DROP THEM AROUND ANYTHING VALUABLE OR SENSITIVE. I will say its worth it for the price to double up and by two sets. As many uses as two are, buying another set to have on hand isn't a bad idea. I typically pull both sets out when I know I'm going to be using at least one anyhow.
I got them in mail used them right away. and they wrk great as stop blocks for wood precision repeated cuts.
very good quality blocks. excellent. i love them.
Just the thing I needed for model building...heavy for holding, square for adjusting.
these are very nice and very precision. however oh, they are packed in a awful lot of grease or cosmoline or whatever it is and makes them difficult to use until you have cleaned them up
One side was . Out .003. The other side was .001
