WEN Products 15-Amp 13-Inch Three-Blade Benchtop Thickness Planer

Great deal for what you get. Easily planes through red oak if you don't try to take off more than 1/8" at a time. Leaves a pretty smooth finish. Remember you will probably want a 20amp breaker, as in not sure it has a soft start. Didn't test for that but is my typical protocol with 15amp tools. The packaging was good. Tightly packed between foam so I can't imagine it being damaged in shipping. Assembly is basic and doesn't require extra tools. Unless you're stepping up to a $600 option, I don't see the point in paying for anything more than this unit.

Planer did all we expected of it. We'll use it to make the black walnut for the ceiling in a building.

This the first wen tool I have owned. I have used other big brand names in the past so far this one has worked just as good if not better than the others.

The company is great to deal with, and the unit works fantastic Be careful of the dust collector interlock. Mine got bent and I had to bend it back to release. But this thing works fantastic! I took an old chipped up 2x4 and ran it through to try it. It cam out looking good enough to us as finished woodwork. Was absolutely amazing. Just keep th depth of cut minimal. Can't say enough as to how good this thing works

I have several WEN tools in my shop. The quality and price can not be beaten. I have never been disappointed in my WEN tools.

I can not say much about the product because it is going to be a gift.

Would rather have the 3 blade than the spiral, to many blades in the spiral to go wrong, I feel like I get a better smoother cut with the straight blade. Seems to have more power also. Love it.

Works ok on small 1/16 cut - anything more and it jams and kicks making black marks on wood. Seems to be underpowered.
