Excellent quality. The table feels sturdy and heavy duty. The storage for the spindles and added accessories are great.

Walmart hasn't even shipped it to me yet, so asking thus question was premature.

for the price, this does what i need

First impressions: Very well packaged box, secured with styrofoam. This sander has more metal parts than I expected (good stuff). Aluminum table (thought it's plastic from the pictures) and metal belt sander enclosure was a nice surprise. I haven't used it yet, just plugged and turned it on. Works fine and it's not too loud. I'm pretty sure it will get what it's supposed to do, if not it's backed up with 2 year warranty. During the unboxing I had a help from a n inspector cat. Inspector cat approved 🤣. I'm happy with the purchase. P.S.: I have one complaint about FedEx though. They sent my package 1000 miles in the opposite directions thus I received the sander 3 days later than the original delivery date.

I had the smaller Wen spindle sander but needed a larger one, that also had a flat area for sanding, for my next project (outdoor furniture). And this one was perfect. Cost was much less than the more popular brand names. The flat surface does not produce a perfect 90º surface when sanding. It's off by 1-2º. For rough-sanding, this is a perfect, affordable solution. The table surface could be larger for larger wood pieces but it's good enough. The box only comes with a single drum sanding roll so I purchased some cheap drum sanding rolls ones online. One irritating thing I've noticed is that the spindle rolls that sit on the shelved storage space isn't very effective. When I'm blowing the shop, any air that his those rolls tend to blow them off, especially the smallest/lightest one. The folding top doesn't cover the rolls, making them susceptible to being blown off with any gust of air. Not a deal-breaker; just an irritation. Wen could make the folding top longer so it covers the rolls when folded down - I'd easily pay a little extra for that feature. I don't move it much but it's manageable. It is much larger than I imagined but build quality is as expected. It's not perfect but it's a great tool for what it's supposed to do. All in all, if you're looking for a larger table-top drum and spindle sander, that is also more cost-effective than the more popular name brands, get this Wen. Highly recommend for anyone looking at budget options for a multipurpose table-top sander.

within 3-5 mins of using this brand new, it started throwing sparks from the motor housing and smoking. it then teipped the shop breaker and not the internal protection. very unsafe! i tried it again and it worked for 30 seconds and started again. after this last attempt it would even turn on without sparks and teipping the breaker. I needed this item and it was 1 week late on delivery and now i am without until i can a different model.

the shipping and delivery were horrible. Calls to customer service were not helpful and provided no information that i could not dibs on my own. i was very dissatisfied with purchasing from Walmart.

Belt keeps running off spindle

For some reason in our area orders frequently get left at the wrong address or stolen by the contracted carrier. I want to change this replacement order to my local store rather than my door step. Management doesn't care about accountability by making it hoop jumping to thr max hoping you'll give up it appears to me, just sayin'.
