WEN Snow Blaster 18 in 13.5 A Single-Stage Corded Electric Self-Propelled Snow Thrower

This unit works exactly as advertised. Blows snow as effectively as units that cost much more. I went with Wen brand because I have a Wen electric chainsaw I got in the early eighties that still works like new after very heavy use . In my experience, snowblowers with 2 cycle engines are extremely unreliable. I'm not a fan of rechargeable tools either, usually very weak and don't hold enough charge to finish the job. The corded electric option is the way to go if you don't the mind minor inconvenience of managing the cord.

I finally was able to use my new Wen Snow Blaster in February when we had our first "big" snow (11 inches), well it was a blizzard, storm Petros. I live 3 miles from the southern tip of lake Michigan and we had a mild winter this year so have been waiting to use this. First off this snow was EXTREMELY wet and heavy but my little Wen Snow Blaster managed to get through the first 4" to 5" that fell. It was able to clear all the way down to the drive and really leave no snow behind which was impressive. Our drive is 70 feet long so it took some time but it threw the heavy wet snow about 4 feet. I can only imagine how well this Wen Snow Blaster would work in a lighter snow! I have to say that I was out 3 times clearing my drive and the second 2 I did by hand since the problem I encountered with the Wen Snow Blaster was that the wet snow kept clogging the discharge shoot and would freeze to the plastic wheels and make it impossible for them to turn. Don't get me wrong for the price this is a GREAT little machine that I would recommend to anyone. Why 5 stars? Well I feel the Wen was able to get through this "mud" snow and was happy with what it could do I just wish it could have plowed through the snow at the end of the drive.

I love my little Snow Blaster! I needed it for a sidewalk next to my garage. I have bad shoulders and live alone. I just plugged it in the garage and with 2 swipes up and down the sidewalk, it was clear. No more shoulder pain from trying to shovel. It handled as much as 1.5' of snow. It is very light and mainly plastic. Not heavy-duty. Hopefully with the limited use, it will last awhile

Got it, assembled in minutes (under 10), and was throwing snow in less than 15 (after finding suitable 14GA extension cord)..... Only strangeness is that if you have the chute 90 degrees to the direction of travel (directly left or right), it kind of 'belches' out snow, definately NOT throwing it 'up to 10 feet away' (more like 1 ft)....but once you set it to 45 degrees or less, it easily throws 8-12 ft.... Buying one for in-laws.....

I ordered the WEN Snowblaster on Walmart.com and was shipped to my house quickly. The Snowblaster is very easy to assemble, a phillips-head screwdriver is the only needed tool (for a couple small screws), everything else is tighten-by-hand. I needed a narrow machine, and this one is perfect for me. 18" clearing path and the overall width of the unit is 19 1/2". It's also very lightweight. The design of the machine, and the handle & wheels, make it very easy to maneuver. The unit is all plastic (except for the handle) but it seems well made and the plastic is durable. This is good for snow under 10 or 12"s. Since I recently got the snowblower, I don't know about longterm durability, but I'm sure with proper use it should last a long time. Inexpensive snowblower, worth the money and I would recommend the WEN Snowblaster.

This snow blower worked like a charm. There is a little assembly required but it was super easy to put together and the instructions were easy to follow. The only thing with an electric snow blower is if there's an electrical outage. You might consider getting a gas or battery run blower if that's a reoccurring issue in the area you live. Otherwise, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and the price and quality is very good. Highly recommend!!

No big blizzard but last snowfall was significant enough and it worked really well.

Ordered when heavy snow projected and arrived the next day (yea!). 12 year old put it together and we used it immediately. Worked great (only wish it would get closer to concrete as it leaves about 1/4 in). Son used blower and I pushed the snow shovel behind. Cleared an easy 6-8 inches off quickly! Took 1/4 time to do the same job and no sore back. Worth the few extra dollars for the directional blower - a must. Used extra cord we had to reach into street so we could get into driveway without blocking it.

Looked forward to the first snow, but was disappointed my snow blower wouldn't work. Husband took the side off and the belt had fallen off in transit. Started it up and it worked great. I only use it on my deck and in my paved flower garden area but it cleans the snow right down to the deck boards. The machine is light enough for me to handle also. in our 60's now we are looking for ways to help us lighten our work load. No more shoveling for us. I would recommend. Love mine.

6 to 8 inches wet snow-----worthless. chute would jam every 6 feet.had a sno joe prior and it worked much better.maybe will do the job in light snow.
