Westclox 9.5" Black Retro 1950s Convex Glass Lens Wall Clock

This is an excellent wall clock for a kitchen, office or bedroom space. I was actually replacing the exact clock that we had used for many years but at one point the clock was dropped and the glass face was broken. The clock itself worked perfectly but we decided to replace with a brand new duplicate as it has served us perfectly.

Adorable retro clock. Smaller than I'm used to, but numbers are easy to see. The second hand tick is relaxing. Plastic frame looks good from a distance. Hangar kind of set back but a thumb tack works.

I dropped my kitchen clock and this clock looked like just what I needed. Wasn't sure about black color, but it came and it looks ok. I don't like to drive much in our Upper Michigan winter, so I looked online and found it. I have been ordering a few things that I needed instead of going out and driving 50 miles round trip to your store.

I already had this retro looking clock in red on my kitchen wall and love it. When we decided to get a wall clock for the bedroom as well, we tried buying one at our local True Value Hardware store. The brand was Eternity; which is how long it would have taken us to get used to the horrifically loud TICK TOCK. Not wanting to wait that long, we returned it and ordered this Westclox that we already knew was quiet. Kudos Westclox for a speedy drift off to La-La Land.

I really like the classic appearance. Very cool.

Pretty vintage clock. Second hand is audible, which I wanted. Just consider this clock is very deep for its radius, about 3". I couldn't hang it in the space I purchased it in because a door would hit it. My fault, should have paid more attention to the dimensions, but looking at other clocks in this style, there ae many options that aren't so bulky.

I have to start with what is most important...does it keep time? The answer is...sort of. What I mean is, it's hard to tell. Like right now, the time is 4:00 but this clock shows it as 3-1/2:00. That is, the hour hand is right in-between the 3 and the 4, and not on the 4. It's been like that even after trying to advance the minute hand a couple of revolutions but it doesn't help. The second issue is, I bought two of these. One in black, one in red and the red one has the same issue, but not as bad. I suspect that's why they were on a deep discount. (Westclox needs better quality controls in place). Now the upside. I like the older retro look design, with the sweeping second hand and the glass lens cover, but have since soured on the "quality" and the "value". I would recommend if they both worked properly, but cannot do so in this review. Cheers!

Smaller than expected, but space effective.

Had to return this! Westclox, where is your quality control. You have been in business for decades. The hour hand lost an hour after 24 to 36 hours.
