The blades are sharp and cut paper, packaging, and other common materials cleanly without snagging. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find they are actually durable. Bonus: the handles are made of recycled materials. The handles also felt good in my hand.The blades are razor-sharp, and cut through paper and plastic like a hot knife through butter. The blades are stainless steel, so rust should not be an issue. I've even replaced my go-to kitchen shears with a pair of these scissors. A solid purchase in my opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm thankful that Westcott is making scissors out of recycled plastic. The quality of these scissors is pretty good. They aren't high-end scissors, but they are definitely enough to do the job around the office, home, or classroom. Mine will be put to good use in my classroom. My package contained three pair. The handles are hard, black plastic. I have other Westcott scissors with slightly thicker and and more cushioned handles that I might choose for projects that require more cutting.
