I had my doubts but WD came up aces in the end!
Look as grabman I accept nothing but the best. And when it came to backing up my 23tb ps4 collection I went straight to WD for quality and reliability. After EXTENDED usage I can proudly state that grabman gives 2 thumbs up to the WB 28TB My Book Duo!

Extra space without the HIGH Apple prices.
This is an exceptional external drive, quick and reliable. I use this for all my storage instead of buying more drive space from Apple. This is affordable and easy to hook up.

Great RAID drive. I have it configured as a RAID 1. This is my third WD RAID - all still in operation.

My Book Duo
Two of my Units Disconnect All the Time and the fans go into overdrive. I have to unplug the unit for 5 mins and then put it back one. Do all the drive checks and it says it is OK!

Whatever has happened to the quality of WD Drives?
Your hard drive keeps telling me I have a problem with the RAID configuration and there is nothing wrong with it! Very frustrating, AND this on top of one of your Element 10TB drives losing a password and therefore I LOST ALL MY PHOTOGRAPHY!!! This may well be my tenth and final WD Drive ever...

DO NOT BUY
I have no idea why a company that has a good reputation would continue to make this product. I have had it maybe three weeks now, use perhaps for a total of ten hours max and I like so many others am receiving error messages about Raid corruption (and possible data loss). The unit fails to boot often, will often not shut down even with the power button (and while on the subject of a power button why is the power button about as thin as a sheet of paper, almost undetectable unless you use a flashlight AND you potentially have to MOVE an activen drive to try and manuallu shut if off when it fails to turn itself off?). I knew it would be somewhat slow which is not a problem but I DID NOT trust the bad reviews based on your other products whihc have been fine. However, they were correct.

Poor documentation when choosing disk format. Not portable between MacOS and Windows.
