this is really a great item, especially if you want to save those precious items on your computer like your pictures and music and files, this is a great backup tool and easy to use, it is pretty much plug into your port and backup everything up on your computer, to me why buy a flash drive when you can have this!!!! just remember to put in a safe place after your backup. also this is a great price and I do recommend this external hard drive, I am going to buy another one myself. before I forget to those who do not know anything about doing a backup on this external hard drive try going to "YouTube" as they provide how to do backups
Although I bought this drive for use with a stand-alone DVR, I ended up not keeping the DVR (bought elsewhere. As a normal, basic external hard drive, this is the one brand with which I have never had a failure or an issue resulting in data loss. This drive is for Widnows, plug and Play, and it just works. I did not pay the current price, but a rollback price which was $20.00 less. That price did play a role in my buying decision.
I really like this hard drive, it actually came with more space than 1 TB which is really unusual but great. It's really easy to put all your pictures, music and games on it leaving your computer to run at optimal speed. I don't have anything bad to say about this product.
Got this for my MacBook Pro and this hard drive is exactly what I needed for this. All I had to was format the drive first, from there no problems. I recommend this product to backup any of your devices.
I bought this drive for my XBOX ONE. I plugged it in with the included USB cable, formatted and good to go in a few minutes. It actually seems faster than the built in hard drive. I have been using it for a couple of weeks and no issues.
format it first to get rid of the junk.
Had to reformat for MAC, but good idea even if using for Windows just to make sure no spyware on the drive. Only negative -- I discovered a 2TB WD drive tucked away in the corner of the display case of my local Walmart a week later for the same price.
Think I paid $62 for this unit, but it's exactly as advertised,...you wind up with like 938 GIGS after the necessary system stuff. It's HEAVY, and built to last,...it's NOT an SSD, it spins up. When it drops to $45 I'm buying a few more,...great for entire system backups! THIS DOES COME WITH USB TO DRIVE CABLE
Purchased to save all my files and pictures and eliminate the need to keep old computers. This drive is working perfect.
Info stated it was also for a MAC. However, I found that I had to reformat the hard drive so that I could use it with my MAC running 10.12.3. Once past that step, it was a excellent drive. If it wasn't for that step, I might have given an excellent rating.
