They were SO easy to install on my 16 Colorado Extended Cab! They Look Perfect (Stainless Steel) and I can get in and out very easy now instead of sliding off the seat till my feet touch the ground - So the step bars are saving my seat cushion too. Highly Recommend!
when i went to install the boards i started with the driver side which went esily. when i went to the passenger side i had the middle bracket would not line up. after measuring and checking dimensions determined it was my truck. the running boards were consistant and the same. i had to fabricate a bracket for both to support the middle. the ends were fine. otherwise the product was good and looks great. sturdy to stand on and i hope for may years of a nice looking board that is different than the oem style at a much better price.
These are the OEM parts for my 2015 Tundra and I absolutely love them. There are 3 mounting brackets per side and 4 places to mount them. The instructions were wrong about which place to use for the middle bracket, but it was pretty apparent that was the problem. Other than that, they are easy to install, provided that you keep everything very loose until all bolts are in. They shipped out of Irving, TX and I got them the day after I ordered them (I live in San Antonio) which was quite impressive.
Everything fit well. Instructions were clear and explicit. About 2 hours to install, with one installer error (10 minutes to find that last dropped lock washer). There was a slight dent in the side that could have been with shipping. (I decided it was too small to call about). My only complaint, I wish that were positioned just an inch or so lower.
Mounting brackets could be a little heavier or made out of stainless for long term use, the steps themselves are very nice, well made and easy to install about an hour! Make sure to use anti seize on bolts. I would purchase again from Realtruck ,very good to deal with and really understand what they are selling!
My wife steps right behind the front pad every time she gets out. To get in the truck the front pad works great, it's when you get out that the damage is going to happen. I have had them on for almost a year and scratches have started to be more visible on her side, from little pebbles and gravel in shoes. (I'm tall and don't use them as much to get out of the truck) Otherwise they look great and are very sturdy. Easy to install.I have been off road quite a few times over the last year and no paint has chipped off the end caps so far. I would get another brand next time unless Pro Trax moves there front pad back about 6"-8.
On my 2017 Chevy Silverado 3500HD, there's NO WAY to get the right side, middle bracket installed without removing the DEF tank and cutting down the corner of the bracket. FYI, reinstalling the DEF tank after the bracket is installed is also nearly impossible. It took me over 9 hours to get the right side on and 45 minutes to do the left side. Also, I feel the steps are still too high off from the ground. Basically, these were the only step bars available for my truck , so I had little choice.
Would have liked them more if there wasn't a dent on the topside of the one on the drivers side. I have to see it everyday. Dent was in the bar from manufacturer. There was no damage to the box so it was the company carelessness on their products. Since I already had the passenger one mounted, I wasn't going to take it all apart and send back.
I purchased these thinking it would help me stepping up into my truck. They are so high when you stand on them, that you are looking over the top of the cab. Then you have to squat down to your feet to get in the cab. Called Westin to see if the had mounting brackets to lower the bar and was told no and wouldn't take them back for a refund. I will never buy a product from Westin again.
