Great product value

Christopher September 19, 2025

Runs my entire house 1800 square feet, central AC (3.5 ton with soft start), and charges my Tesla at the same time. Very impressed. Now, let’s see how long it lasts.

Generator upon arrival and first start up.

Jonathan June 10, 2026

The simple assembly required was quick and easy. The delivery time was faster than expected or predicted. After following the instructions prior to starting it for the first time, the generator started up easily with a single push of the remote. If and when I lose power at my home, I will write a second review on how it does in the field.

Great Generator

Charles February 7, 2026

Very powerful generator, capable of ruining my entire home. It's easy to assemble; basically attach the wheels and feet, plug in the battery, add the oil and some fuel and it's ready to go. The remote control is a great feature, and the automatic start is great if you are using a transfer switch. Just having a battery start is a step up from pulling the rope on my old generator to get it running. With this generator, I won't be worried about power outages, ice storms, or emergency situations. Having the ability to run on gasoline, propane, or natural gas is an added bonus, especially during extended outages when gasoline supplies can run out at the stations. Westinghouse is a trusted name and this generator is very highly rated by every review I've read. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to go from survivor mode to comfort mode during extended power outages.

It's new and I love it.

gcsimpson February 5, 2025

I love this 14,500-Watt tri-fuel portable generator. I wish they had advertised it under its running wattage instead of its peak wattage, and I might have bought the bigger one. Nevertheless, it looks like it's doing everything I need it to. Knowing I was only going to use propane, I never even tried it out with gasoline. I have only run it at present on a 5-gal propane tank (waiting for propane connection to 150-gal tank). I had a professional from a generator services company install an automatic transfer switch and we cut the power and cranked it up and threw the switch. I then turned on the a/c and hot water heater, in addition to all lights and devices and appliances and the guy (who sells and installs Kohler generators) put on an amp meter and was amazed. Said it was only using half of its capability. The only thing I wish was that the generator had the auto start which would automatically crank it up when the utility power went off, and turn it off when utility power is restored, but I’d have had to get the Westinghouse 20,00 watt for about a fifteen hundred or so more. As it is, when the utility power goes off, the transfer switch automatically changes to generator power, but i must go out and crank it. When utility power comes back on, the transfer switch automatically switches back to utility power, but I have to go out and turn off the generator. By the way, the driver for the trucking company they had to deliver it was really helpful. I live in a place that he wasn't even sure he was going to be able to get In and out of. Called me and we talked about it and he could have easily said that he couldn't do it and I would have had to pick it up somewhere else, but he went out of his way to be sure he could deliver it and even called me when he got there so that I could remotely open the garage door and let him place it inside.

Wgen11500TFc Runs High Efficiency Furnace Fine

Danz February 21, 2024

This model is listed as low THD </= 5% It powers my sensitive electrical items fine. Very well built and motor now has an oil filter screen to catch contaminates. Fired right up on propane and the remote control feature is great. Quieter than I thought it would be. Comes with all the accessories you'll need to operate including a battery charger. There is nothing about this generator that feels cheap. Includes Quick Connect fittings and even the manual is quality.

14500/11500 Westinghouse Generator

anonymous May 16, 2025

Very nice generator especially for the $1500 price tag. It will run everything in my home, HVAC with a soft start kit and hot water heater along with lights, TVs and 4 refrigerators all at the same time. So far I’m very pleased with it and its capabilities.

Worked as expected.

Miguel July 11, 2024

I live in Texas and we just got hit by Hurricane Beryl. I spent almost a week without power and the generator worked as expected. I could power a my fridge, large freezer, 3 TVs, PS5, and an AC unit to cover 500 sq foot area. We could charge our phones, use our laptop and internet. I used all three fuel types to test but mostly natural gas and gasoline. With seven gallons of gasoline, it lasted about 14 hours, this means that I was not even at 50% capacity with everything I had plugged into the generator.

Great portable generator!

Anonymous July 11, 2024

This was a great choice for me for a portable generator. It will run my whole house (3000 sq ft w/2 AC units) on gasoline and most of my house on natural gas. It was much less expensive than a Generac or comparable whole house generator. It got me through Hurricane Beryl with no issues.

Need to return Westinghouse Generator

OFR February 13, 2026

If you buy from Walmart and you have to return the item, you might as well forget it. You will not be able to contact Walmart, and if you email the vendor and get lucky maybe then you will get your issue resolved. Walmart's customer service sucks. Most likely, I will not buy from Walmart anymore. Amazon is so easy. I will stay with Amazon even if I have to pay a little more. I bought a Westinghouse generator, but it came with damaged footings. Of course Walmart is not accessible. I emailed Westinghouse a couple of weeks ago, I have not heard from them yet. Walmart is advertising free returns within 30 days. But now, for me to return the generator, I have to get a hold of Westinghouse, and all I need is a new footing.
