I bought the Westinghouse 24" HD LED TV for a smaller space, and it has turned out to be a great little TV for the price. The 720p picture is clear and bright, and the 60Hz refresh rate keeps motion looking smooth when watching sports or fast-paced shows. For a compact TV, the picture quality is surprisingly good and consistent across the screen. One thing I really like is the variety of ports. It has HDMI and USB inputs, so I was able to easily connect a streaming stick and a gaming console with no hassle. It also includes additional options like optical audio out and a coax connection for cable or an antenna, which makes it very versatile. I even tried connecting it to a PC, and it works well as a basic monitor. Since this is a non-smart TV, it's perfect if you already use a streaming device or just want something simple without extra menus and apps. The slim design doesn't take up much room, and it's lightweight enough that mounting it on the wall was easy. It fits nicely in a kitchen, bedroom, office, or even an RV setup. Another nice feature is the built-in parental controls with the V-chip, which is helpful if you have kids and want to monitor what they watch. Overall, this is a solid, reliable small TV that delivers good HD picture quality, plenty of connection options, and a compact design. Great choice if you want an affordable TV for a smaller space.
This non-smart tv is the smart choice. Our existing Roku TV updated itself via the internet, chose its internal Roku as the default setting (preventing any change to that), which then conflicted with the Stand-alone Roku unit we had all our passwords stored on. The Roku on Roku violence made the TV unwatchable. This new TV solved that problem instantly. Never again by a Roku TV, that was a dumb choice.
From unpackaging to set up took (a senior) about 15 minutes, and I'm very happy with the quality of the picture and sound. I'm not super fussy about televisions: as long as I can see and hear clearly, I'm satisfied. And this one is a great value for the money paid.
Don't have Internet at the house so I needed a "dumb" TV to hook up to antenna and DVD player. Super easy to set up and have lots of channels without paying the high cable/satellite prices.
The best thing going for this TV is that it's a non-smart TV, and safeguards your privacy. Most smart TVs require you to provide an email ID and set up a WiFI upfront. This TV requires neither. There's a coaxial port for hooking up antenna, and that's all you need to get the OTA channels. There are 2 HDMI ports, and you can plug in your FireTV stick (for example) and setup Internet for streaming. But the good thing is that Amazon can't snoop on your activity outside of their interface. This is a much needed solution for privacy. The industry uses the glitzy name of "Smart TV" to lure customers, but that's nothing but privacy invasion TV. More manufacturers with better quality should come up with similar non-smart TVs. The only thing that's not good about this TV is that the sound quality is very poor. There's a persistent high-frequency screeching sound that envelops the audio, or at least feels so.
We cannot adjust the sound volume.
I bought this TV solely for the purpose that it had buttons to control volume channel and an on off button. I even took a photo of the description that said it had manual buttons. When I got the TV there were no buttons on the TV.
I am a fan of WalMart, but I ordered a TV Bracket install for my mother at her assisted living facility. Apparently the installer came, said he did not have the screws needed to install the TV , and walked off. I did not get a call or communication of any sort. Very very frustrating.
SOUND IS VERY POOR QUALITY. SOME PROGRAMS IT IS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING AND IT SOUNDS GARBLED. I AM RETURNING THE TELEVISION TO WALMART. THE PICTURE QUALITY WAS VERY GOOD BUT WITHOUT GOOD SOUND THE TELEVISION IS WORTHLESS.dO
I selected this TV since it was advertised as "cable-ready." After the TV arrived I tried installing it according to the instructions and it would not work. Calling the Customer Service was helpful; we worked through all the diagnostics and I was told that the problem was at the cable box. I had the cable company replace the cable box and was able to get the TV to work. When I first operated it, the sound was perfect. The SECOND time I tried it (and every time since) the sound quality is wholly unacceptable - the sound seems to be coming from the bottom of a deep well. I plan to try Customer Service again and if the sound does not improve I will send the TV back for a refund.
