Damaged but I like the dis design

This umbrella is beautiful, especially lit up at night. But serious design flaw causes the cord that opens and closes it to break easily (within 2 weeks actually). There are two STARTER screws (sharp points) inside the mechanism that winds it that face each other and snag up the cord until it breaks. I managed to take it all apart, cut off the frayed ends, and tie the cord back together and wrap it with much electrical tape. Working for now although i can no longer tilt it due to less cord for the bend, but it won't last as I can feel the rope snagging inside as it's opened and closed.
