Product arrived earlier than expected! All parts seem strong and durable. Made hot pepper jellies and hot sauce last week. This worked SO MUCH better than cheesecloth, nylons, coffee filters, etc.

I can hardly wait for ripe fruit to make jam. This is so much better than the old aluminum strainer I lost.

This food strainer is well-made and sturdy. I made several batches of apple butter and used the strainer to express the pulp from the peeling and it worked great. It holds about 2 cups of mixture at a time and only let the pulp through, no seeds or pieces of peel. The final product was very smooth. It can stand up to the pressure needed to be applied to get all the goody from the apple. Also, I like the fact that it is stainless steel. It looks good too.

Seriously bought this to make tomato juice was hard to use the first time but once I figured out to cook the tomatoes first it was super easy to use and clean up is a breeze.

Really works good

Great for small batches of homemade jelly and apple cider. Extracts juice great, once you get the process down. Easy cleanup. Rinse with water and place in dishwasher.

The smaller capacity means you can't fill it with as much, and only process about 2 to 3 cups at a time, so it takes longer to process the food you are canning.

I purchased this product for making jams. I was very disappointed when making blackberry jam, because the seeds went right thru the colander so then I had to you a cheese cloth to have seedless jam. I feel that the holes are a little to big to capture seeds. All other fruit it worked on if it didn't involve seeds.

I have used this twice for applesauce - it always gets gummed up and is hard to clean - it is not one solid piece of metal so the Apple pieces get stuck at the tip and are lodged in the seams. I would not recommend this as I know there are better ones out there that are one solid piece of metal with no seams for the food to get stuck in.
