Fantastic! It took about 30-minutes, but it totally and permanently erased rust stains from both a Plastic Laundry Tub and an Acrylic Bathtub and its Enclosure shelves. Just squirt it on and let it do its thing. No scrubbing, no damage or dulling of the surface and no odor.
Have you ever used this stuff? It's unbelievable! Rust literally disappears in front of your eyes. But three things to be careful of: (1) It's very dangerous and can hurt you. NEVER let any get on you. Use disposable rubber or medical gloves, and don't spill anywhere. Use it over a stainless steel sink if you can, and then run water effusively and use the faucet sprayer to thoroughly clean out the entire sink area -- also run the water for a LONG time to clear out the drains whink passed through. Immediately double- or triple-bag your used gloves and any folded-over paper towels you used to spread the whink, carefully, first in newspaper or equivalent and then in multiple layers of garbage bags, and discard the bags and their contents where no child or animal can ever access them. (2). It can be horrifyingly dangerous to kids. Before you buy, think where you'll store it so than no child even just visiting you can ever end up by mistake with life-long injuries. (3). It is safe for most things you'd like to clean, but test first (with rubber gloves on -- see %231!). I've used it successfully on metal objects, plumbing, and even the occasional fabric with blood stains that don't come out -- but sometimes a piece of clothing literally rots when whink is applied. Didn't matter, because I'd have had to throw it out anyway; just want you to know. You'll use it rarely -- I'm just now replacing a bottle that's years old -- but you'll be amazed how well it works. Imagine that silverware on which a spot of rust appeared after being soaked too long, instantly restored just by pouring a tiny drop of whink on it!! Or those kitchen shears with annoying rust stains around the screws. (Rinse them both thoroughly and put both through dishwasher afterwards for safety, of course, and thoroughly rinse the sink you rinsed them in and run lots of water quite a while through the drain). Or the persistent thin circle of rust around the bathtub drain (bathtub needs to be thoroughly washed out with lots of water afterwards, too, and lots of extra water run through that drain as well). Just don't ever let whink touch you (or anything it touched, touch you), store it in whatever your equivalent of a gun safe is (i.e. impregnable), and be sure no unsupervised child could ever, ever get to it. You'll be astonished how effective it is and thrilled to have it as long as you handle it safely.
I have used this product for a lot of years, and it works great to remove rust spots from clothing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Work very well and I will buy again, #sweepstakes.
I have used this many many many years ago and it does the right job it takes out blood even old blood dry. Haven't tried it on Mold. I'm going to. I have a pair of shorts had some old on. I'm gonna try it, but I love this stuff.
work perfect unclogging my water lines
Great product. This will remove the rust stains AND the rust. It will also strip the oxide layer off of anodized aluminum and titanium, which is why I bought it. When I re-anodize a piece, I have to take the old color off first, which I used to do by carefully sanding and buffing it off. With this stuff, I just dip the piece for a few seconds, and the color disappears. After a quick buff to shine it up, it's ready for a new color. Good customer service. I had an issue with shipping, but the seller was quick to respond and worked it out within 48 hours. WARNING: This is a mixture of powerful acids. Wear gloves and eye protection when using this product. Keep baking soda ready to neutralize any spilled acid. The chemical reaction can produce toxic vapor, so vent the work area well or wear a respirator if you're using it a lot, or using it on a lot of rust.
