Super easy to install and the noise level is very minimal. Comes with a remote control which makes it very easy to adjust the different settings. Absolutely love this and it is a great addition with the warm weather!

It's perfect for a small room with great cooling capacity . The noise level level is silent. You will sleep like a baby and can operate it all from remote control!! What more could you even ask for?

Its not very noisy from the outside or inside and it's not an eye sore. Very nice looking unit. Love the remote feature and that I can set it at a certain temperature. Would definitely recommend.

This is now installed in our bedroom window, and as you can imagine, noise was a big factor in our decision. This inverter technology seems to help make this unit run quietly and without some of the dramatic “on/off” sounds some of our other units make. It is reasonably quiet and works for our bedroom. The size and weight is normal or maybe slightly above average for an 8000btu AC unit. I kind of wish it was more compact and lighter weight. The aesthetics are ok. Definitely better than some of the cheaper window units, but not as high end as some of the newer systems from other manufacturers. Build quality is ok, exactly what you expect from GE. Good, but not high end. Overall, given the price point vs features this offers, I am happy with the unit.

The Whirlpool 10,000 BTU Window Mounted Inverter Air Conditioner exceeded my expectations. It was easy to install, and the cord was long enough to reach the outlet. Upon first use, it cooled quickly, super quiet, and has a remote to adjust it without having to get out of bed. It has an Eco function to save energy and a sleep mode where the set temperature increases 1 degree every 30-60 min. During the sleep cycle until it reaches the set temperature. It even has a Dry mode to reduce the humidity in the air. Fan speed , temperature, and airflow direction are easy to set with a push of a button. You can set a timer as well. I highly recommend this aircondioner. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

I USED TO THINK WHIRLPOOL MEANT QUALITY, NOT SO MUCH ANYMORE! I ordered the first one and it was damaged by Shipper so I rejected it. I ordered the second one and it's DEFECTIVE. Second one had a low grinding sound I thought it was normal and I could live with it and then it got louder and louder ,then it went to insane vibration, and I unplugged it. Waiting for the rain to stop so I can return it,in the back in my pickup. Yes, I followed the installation instructions to the letter, waited 24 hours before I plugged it in after delivery. Not my first window air conditioner, I have five other window units in various parts of the house/cabin, and one is a Whirlpool that's 15 years old, and it is super quiet. I was a Whirlpool fan all my appliances/washer/ dryer/ refrigerator are Whirlpool! Maybe it's still a good brand and I just got a defective one.
