Whirlpool 30 in. 5.3 cu. ft. 4-Burner Electric Range in Black with Storage Drawer

We bought a house less than 3 months ago that came with this range. It looks beautiful. The burners heat very unevenly: the front left rapidly boils on the lowest setting and the front right takes ten minutes to warm up, but then works as it should. The oven door heats up so bad that our 18 month old and 3 year old barely touched it and both got burned. We (the parents) have to make sure not to let our legs graze the door, when we are cooking, otherwise we get burned, but the oven handle stays cool.

This stove on the face of it looked like any other Whirlpool glasstop range I've had. As others have said, seems to show the heat marks on the glass top quickly and I keep up with it, but still happens. Bottom drawer flimsier than most. This was a builder placed appliance in the home when I bought it and I just went to clean the oven, and there is NO self-cleaning mode. I have never had another stove that has not had this feature, even in an apartment. What the heck? The only instructions are a "steam clean" to place water in the bottom. This seems like a basic function. Odd.

Scratches on bottom of oven drawer when installers ripped off blue tape. Also nicked my wall. Wasn’t able to upload pictures. My previous range lasted over 25 years and was wonderful. Don’t make things like they used to!

Brought a new house a year and half ago this oven it what the builder put in. Moved it out today to clean behind and under good thing I did the wire at the bottom was burnt now the stove doesn’t work.

Easy to clean top, even if we somehow get something real cooked on there we can scrap it off and it looks just the way it was before. Some flat tops do not allow for that to happen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was included in the purchase of our new home. It serves its purpose but there are more cons than pros. The surface top is nice aesthetically but after a few uses, no matter how careful you can be cooking, you start getting cooking marks where the pots or skillets would be. I’ve tried just about every cleaning solution to remove them but I’m afraid they are permanent. The oven itself is a bakers worst nightmare. My wife is an avid baker and has an oven thermometer to watch the temp. This reveals that the oven can be upwards of up to 50 degrees off whatever temp setting you have it at. Fore example, at 425 set on the oven the backing thermometer inside was just barely reaching 370. That’s a rather large margin to be off and can be quite aggravating to bake pretty much anything. I’m assuming this might be a faulty unit. Lasteky, the metal drawer for extra pots and pans is made so cheaply that it never closes flush with the oven. It’s usually off kilter either hanging from the left or right. It was like this even after install. I would not recommend this oven unless you truly need just something to cook with. Even then, a table top air fryer would probably do you better.

I really like the self cleaning oven. No cleaners needed. The burners work great and water boils quickly. Only one thing I dont like is the black cook top. It's not easy to keep clean and I have to use the cooktop cleaner every time even to remove smudges.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just installed this in a completely remodeled kitchen and the first time baking in the oven the control errored out, we reset the stove and it seems to run fine now?? I just don't have the faith in it now.
