Whirlpool 3.8 cu ft Top Load Washing Machine with Auto Sensing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it. Good value. We purchased ours at a scratch and dent store. The back panel had a dent, but the washer was new in the box. I straightened out the dent, and the washer works great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first foray into an "HE" washer, and they sure are odd. This washer looks like a regular old top-load, but it sure doesn't act like one. I tell my spouse, just put the clothes in and follow the instructions, and don't listen to it. Come back when it's finished and the clothes are clean and ready for the dryer. It sure doesn't act like an old, sloppy top loader from the last century, but I guess that's good--it uses less water, less power. And it works great...just don't stay in the laundry room listening to it. You don't need to know what it's doing....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this Whirlpool upon the advice of a reputable appliance repairman since our older Speed Queen needed transmission work. We were aware that the new "energy efficient" washers are very slow. That is an understatement! Our Speed Queen took 20 minutes to do wash, rinse and spin cycles and the clothes were always clean and wrung out after spinning. This machine takes more than one hour to do what the SQ did in twenty minutes. What a letdown!! The only thing I see this new machine "saving" is the extra time the consumer has while waiting for the machine to complete its slow process. This is very unsatisfactory!!!!
