Whirlpool 3.9 cu ft White Top Load Washing Machine with Smooth Spiral Stainless Steel Wash Basket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my washer 4 months ago and I like my Top load washer - so many cycles to choose from! My clothes get really clean, and I love the features especially the deep water with extra rinse, the quick wash and the clean washer with afresh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer as a replacement of a similar Whirlpool washer which served me well for 11 years. I like the simplicity of this model, however it adds too much water on "Bulky/sheets" cycle, so you have to use excessive amounts of detergent and the impeller function is diminished. It would be nice to allow the user control the water level on at least certain cycles. I believe to do that is really simple technically.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned whirlpool washers and have been pleased but am unhappy with this model. I didn't realize when I bought it that it didn't have a softener dispenser, which is inconvenient. It's also very noisy.

Do NOT recommend. Bought a house and these were in our appliance package. I sold my last washer/dryer (BIG MISTAKE) haven't even used new washer 10 times and it's already giving me issues. Does not rinse blankets or towels. Never had issues with my last set.

We bought this model 1 1/2 years go and the control board is already no working properly anymore. According to our technician, the board is back-ordered and not available at to moment, which is a sign that other owners experience the same issue. The technician has seen similar problems with Whirlpool washers manufactured within the last two years. Instead of repairing it with possibly another faulty board we decided to cut our losses and purchase a Speed Queen washer. We were also did not like the missing features, i.e. end of cycle signal or dispenser for fabric softener. After all this is not a low end washer. One more dislike: the washer make loud clicking sounds during the cycles.

I have had this washer for 2 years and nothing but problems! With the money I have spent on going to the laundry mat while waiting for it to get repaired yet AGAIN I could have purchased a new washer. Now I am trying to save money to get myself a new washer. All I wanted was a simple but durable washer for my family and this is what the rep suggested.

Our washer lasted only 3 years, and as of 8-24-24 we have just bought a new washer. During the spin cycle the machine was always making aloud noise, so I called a Whirpool appliance repairman. He told us the balance rods were worn out becasue we bought a machine without the agitator in the center. Instead of paying over $900 for the repair, we bought a new machine for $649.

And forget hanging clothes up to try. I'm not going back to the days of ironing. So, at some point, when I have the money, I'll have to replace this washing machine.
