Whirlpool 4.5 cu. ft. Front Load ENERGY STAR? Washer with Tumble Fresh Option

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my washing machine and dryer installed on December 4, 2024 and so far so good. Since I was used to a top load washing machine, it took a little getting used to it but it seems to do the job and that's all that matters. It's pretty quiet, which I like, and since it only uses the water it needs - I don't hear the loud whoosh of the water coming from the washing machine into the laundry tub. It has quite a few settings to use so that's different but good, but there is no way to shorten the time for washing other than choosing a different setting. One thing I have noticed is that this washing machine takes much longer to do laundry so while you may save on water making the climate guros happy, you're paying extra on electricity which doesn't make me happy given the cost. But my clothes do come out clean and that's the main reason you buy a washing machine. *One thing really important to know is that the manual says that you have to use the HE laundry detergent in this machine, which believe it or not, I had a hard time finding. But overall the machine has been a pretty good washer, cleans my clothes, it's quiet, it's efficient so I would definitely recommend this machine. I will say this, I bought my machines from Home Depot and I will never ever buy another big appliance from them because it was a horrendous experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good! I love this washer. I changed from GE to Whirlpool on recommendation of a friend. I hope it lasts longer than the GE front load I bought. It lasted 2 years before the “mother board” went out. Also, the matching GE dryer weld broke within one year. I'm super hopeful switching from GE to Whirlpool is a good decision.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced our 19 year old Duet set and I'm still getting used to the new ones. I like the simplicity of many of the features, but not like the on/off or the start. It's too easy to brush by/brush over the pad and it turns on/off. Starting the machine - while easy - takes a moment of keeping your finger on the control for the machine to engage. Also, did you know a CAT can turn them on/off?! Yes, really! Ours is smart enough to have figured it out. He likes the sound so will gently touch the controller just to hear it. Many options out there for pedestals and a few I wish I'd seen before purchasing the expensive brand-named ones. Maybe Whirlpool could offer two options of pedestals - one with drawers one that's just open and allows for laundry baskets to slide in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I bought this machine I had no idea it needed to hook to my wifi. I was very unhappy when I found that out.. However, I kept trying different things (with no manual) and finally figured out how to wash my clothes. Since then I have been very happy with this machine. I does not have to be connected to my wifi. I am sure I would have more bells and whistles with the hook-up, but it works wonderfully without.

The only thing I've found a bit confusing is that it's already prompting me to run a cleaning cycle, even though I've only used it a handful of times. I'm not sure if that's normal for a new machine, but otherwise, I'm really happy with the performance so far.

It came with a description of the machine but not how to actually use the knobs and user pads. By trial and error I have now sort of figured how to use the machine. I don't like the wait time to hold the pad down to have the machine actually start. It does clean the clothes very well but

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replace my 16 yr old Whirlpool front load washer that was leaking with this one. MISTAKE I really hate this washer. No good directions on operating it. My husband and I have looked online for better instructions and can not find any. Tried called the toll free number and get in a loop and none of the options get you to someone to explain the "dashboard" operation.
