[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my washing machine and dryer installed on December 4, 2024 and so far so good. Since I was used to a top load washing machine, it took a little getting used to it but it seems to do the job and that's all that matters. It's pretty quiet, which I like, and since it only uses the water it needs - I don't hear the loud whoosh of the water coming from the washing machine into the laundry tub. It has quite a few settings to use so that's different but good, but there is no way to shorten the time for washing other than choosing a different setting. One thing I have noticed is that this washing machine takes much longer to do laundry so while you may save on water making the climate guros happy, you're paying extra on electricity which doesn't make me happy given the cost. But my clothes do come out clean and that's the main reason you buy a washing machine. *One thing really important to know is that the manual says that you have to use the HE laundry detergent in this machine, which believe it or not, I had a hard time finding. But overall the machine has been a pretty good washer, cleans my clothes, it's quiet, it's efficient so I would definitely recommend this machine. I will say this, I bought my machines from Home Depot and I will never ever buy another big appliance from them because it was a horrendous experience.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After owning a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer for the last 14 years, we decided to renew both with Whirlpool machines again. The Whirlpool machines we had before worked flawlessly throughout our ownership, and although both were still operating, they were beginning to show signs of wear, which for their age was exceptional. Hoping that our new replacements work and last just as well. We didn't even consider any other brand, as our desire was to purchase a reliable domestic product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the washer for 3 weeks and have probably already ran 50 loads through it. Works great. Clothes are definitely clear than the old washer was getting them. Huge difference in how they feel, look, and smell. The cycles are so much shorter than our old one too. Wish I had both these years ago.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm short statured and closer to 80 years old than I like. I needed a front load washer and dryer on pedestals. I'm partial to white, too. I love all the options on both units. And they are perfect for me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this over a month ago and was a great buy! Our laundry gets washed sometimes feels quicker and better than my old kenmore. With the fast spin, laundry is less wet which helps to dry better as well. I'm really enjoying using this appliance. If only I could've bought it sooner!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this washer for 2 weeks, here it what I have found… The door doesn't always close with one push, so it the cycle won't start There is no drum light so you can't see if you have missed a dark item or red sock in the drum It does clean very well and a warm or hot wash leave the clothing warm- which I like. It is attractive, but the Duet was a 10/10, so far I'm giving a 7. No light in the drum is huge. We need to see and your body blocks the room light. Better engineering decisions geared towards the user would be nice. No one wants to stand there holding the power for 10 seconds.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had whirlpool washers before and always loved them. I really like my new one but it didn't come with a good manual. It came with a description of the machine but not how to actually use the knobs and user pads. By trial and error I have now sort of figured how to use the machine. I don't like the wait time to hold the pad down to have the machine actually start. It does clean the clothes very well but
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded old whirlpool washer to the new one. Machine is good to use, but just size is a little bigger than original one. So the space is a little tight. Give 4 stars due to disappointed installation service. Made many scratches on floor, stairs. The installer can't speak English well, and hard to communicate.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does not have an instruction manual except for installation. Difficult to google everything, called but apparently doesn't exist.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replace my 16 yr old Whirlpool front load washer that was leaking with this one. MISTAKE I really hate this washer. No good directions on operating it. My husband and I have looked online for better instructions and can not find any. Tried called the toll free number and get in a loop and none of the options get you to someone to explain the "dashboard" operation.
