Our house is well shaded from the sun so we barely used this much this summer. But when needed, I was amazing! Very quiet and cooled our whole house quickly. Our electric bill usually goes very high in the summer, but it was just right! Very pleased.
I live in a mobile home and it cools my living room and kitchen. you don't have to crank it up neither.
I like the Whirlpool Brand and when I buy ita a Whirlpool I have never been diappointed ! Its bigger than what I expected but other than I couldn't have gotten a better air conditioner!
We installed this AC to cool a 500 square foot room and it does the job quite nicely. The remote is easy to use and the fan speeds provide flexibility in cooling the room. Highly recommended if you have a larger room to cool.
Initially, it was scheduled to be delivered Friday by 9:00 pm and I was really forward to it coming. However, late that Friday night I received notification that it was delayed and wouldn’t be delivered until Saturday. . I was disappointed, but appreciated them keeping me posted of the shipping status . It works like a charm; nice and cool.
There is no quiet mode for this AC. i bought it in June when I was in a major heat wave and my central AC went out. It was so hot there was no way me and my senior dog could wait for the Main AC to be fixed. it was the only large unit my local store had, and i was skeptical how effective it would be keeping a 3 bedroom 1,700 sq.ft house cool. i mounted it in my master bedroom, and with the door open it keeps not only that room ice cold, but the room connecting to it where i have my TV comfortable. After I got my Central Heat and Air repaired i found that using the window mount unit combine with tue central actually lowered my kilowat per hour usage , so now i run them both all day long. really amazing how Cold 500 sq ft gets, and how quickly it gets there. also seems pretty energy efficient. installation isn't too bad , but the unit is very heavy , and it definitely should be installed by 2 people. the adjustable window seal works okay, but on certain windows its definitely not going to be gap free, its also fairly thin. I ended up cutting and installing ezterior wood and using duct tape to help completely close off any gaps.
I've had this AC unit for over a year and a month. It failed twice. The first one stopped working in less than two months, and Whirlpool replaced it. Now the second one has no power at all. It's been a very frustrating experience, and the product is overpriced. I do not recommend it." And the bad thing I lost all this money
The air conditioner was listed as "new in box" on the Walmart site. It was delivered by another outfit out of Texas. The box was not new and it was obviously re-packaged and was not in good condition upon arrival. I returned it based on the fact it was clearly not new.
BEWARE! The unit is bigger than the specs indicate so it didn’t fit. The height per the specs is 14.7” but the height is actually about 15.2” as seen in the attached photo. No idea how well it works because it didn’t fit.
turned it on and doesn't work, blows hot air
