[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought our washer and dryer a month ago and what a world of a difference we have seen! The capacity is amazing and I love the sensor that lets me know that I need to refigure my items for better drying!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 1 month ago. so far I like it very much. The large capacity pairs well with the matching washer which I also purchased.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't be more impressed with my Whirlpool dryer. From the moment I started using it, I could tell this appliance was built for both performance and convenience. It dries clothes quickly and evenly, even bulky loads like towels and bedding. The moisture sensing technology is a game-changer—it prevents over-drying and keeps fabrics feeling soft and fresh. What I love most is how quiet and efficient it is. The drum is spacious enough to handle large family loads, and the wrinkle shield setting has saved me so much time on ironing. The digital controls are simple to use, and I appreciate how sleek it looks in my laundry room. Whirlpool truly delivered a reliable, well-designed machine. If you're looking for a high-quality dryer that combines function, durability, and thoughtful features, this is it. Worth every penny!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We switched from a gas dryer to this electric model. Dries well so far and doesn't seem to be noticeably slower than the old gas dryer. My only complaint is that it makes a "tha-thump" sound with each drum revolution that echoes through the house. Our laundry is on the second floor and I can even hear it in our basement coming through the walls. The installer said this is typical with dryers and was due to the drum weld line hitting the rollers that support the drum. Frankly, seems this should have been caught and fixed in QC.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this but it the 'towel' mode does not get my towels dried. Not sure why. It takes switching to 'timed' with high heat to get the towels dried. The small lint trap seems to get clogged easily with towels so not sure it that is what is causing the issue or not. I clean it after every load so it isn't because it hasn't been cleaned.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our dryer with this model after an older washer failed, so we wanted a new matching dryer. Unfortunately, like many other reviewers indicated, the new Whirlpool does not perform as expected. It takes soooo long to dry a load. Even a very small load of lightweight fabrics takes nearly an hour, and a larger load or towels can take up to 2.5 hours. The sensors compute when the dry time ends, and although they indicate a reasonable time, it just continues to add time as the dryer runs. The WiFi app works well, so I added a star for that, and it makes it handy to start a large load at night and by morning they will be done. Perhaps all new models perform like this energy requirements, but I can't see how running for hours is efficient. And yes, my lint screen and dryer vent are unobstructed and cleaned often. It also comes with an insert for instructions to order a free drying rack, but even after calling Whirlpool they did not provide it. We only had a 48 hr. return window and we were beyond that before we used it for the first time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dryer seems to work ok but when I called to register, I found out, I had to buy warranty because every aspect of the dryer had a reason that it's probably the user's fault when it fails and wouldn't be covered under the warranty that I thought I had. Very disappointed that Whirlpool has become this type of company, immediately after you purchased, they're making excuses if something happens it's probably the user's fault. It was a mistake to to buy a Whirlpool washer and dryer. I paid a lot of money for these appliances to find out that I don't believe Whirlpool will stand behind them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dryer came with a defective light inside the drum. A technician has been twice to fix it and the issue is still not resolved. I didn't buy a new dryer so I could take off from work every week to meet technicians. I would not recommend this product or brand to anyone.
I've had this dryer in my brand new house for 2 months. I've had 3 service calls in the last 3 weeks. The dryer doesn't dry clothes. They say it is my vent. Even though the vent is brand new. And exceeds recommendations of " proper venting" in the owners manual. I can see from other reviews that this is a known problem. I sure hope the make it right and send a new dryer. To make sure it wasnt my vent I had my HVAC tech come out and check it - then also ran it directly outside with a 4" vent pipe. The error message still came on within minutes of being turned on. There was ample air coming out of the vent. This needs to be foxed or replaced.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It sucks. Takes double the time to dry clothes that my previous LG dryer. Even time drying a small load of towels for an hour and half still leaves them damp in some areas. This is a good dryer if you are looking to get your clothes 80% dry. Also, the "oven" door style is horrible, makes it harder to reach into the back.
