This dehumidifier was easy to set up. The controls are easy to understand. It looks nice. It has a locking feature,so someone else can't change it, like kids or husbands. It works very well and controls the humidity in my basement. It does make noise on high fan, but is softer fan noise on the low setting. It certainly is not silent. The water bucket filled up quickly (2 hrs) in my humid basement, so we had to attach a drain hose and run it to the floor drain. I bought this one because I read that some of the cheaper ones don't defrost easily and this one does.
I trust the Whirlpool brand and so far this dehumidifier is living up to my expectations. It's in my basement and the humidity level went down dramatically within one day. I'm happy with this purchase and delivery was very fast and it arrived in perfect condition.
I will recommend this product because it has done a fantastic job of pulling moisture out of the main level of our house. I can tell a difference between when it is on and off. The house is easier to cool. It will automotically shut off whenever it needs dumped and dumping the water is a breeze.
I like the bigger tank size I value the Whirlpool name I have only had it one week but I see good results already
I had to replace another unit that didn't last long at all hopefully this one will last longer. Works really well removing moisture
So far, so good. It's a little early to tell about longevity, but it does a good job sucking the water out of the air.
I like this dehumidifier pretty good. I have a hose attached to the back and it does drain out of the hose sometimes but sometimes the bucket still starts to fill up anyways. However, with the hose attached the bucket has never gotten full to the point where the dehumidifier shuts off. I usually check on it every few days when I'm in the basement but if it were to be left alone for a week or more I'm not sure how it would fare.
Only one thing it doesn't have a handle to pickup the water bucket to empty it. It has a place for it but no handle came with it. If they could send a bucket handle I would give 5 stars rating for sure.
Much too loud! Dehumidifier is in the basement and we can hear it upstairs. When humidity level is near the set point, it turns on then off every 15 to 20 seconds. Extremely annoying considering the vibration noise it makes!!
Dehumidifier was not pulling water then I noticed that it froze up behind he filter. Called Customer service, followed their instructions, it worked the next day, then did not collect water again but not froze. Decided to return it to the store since it was within the 30 day window per the manufacturer.
