Whirlpool Energy Star 6,000 BTU 115V Window-Mounted Air Conditioner with Remote Control

This unit is great. Bought for my room addition which is turned into an office. Quiet and strong. But extremely heavy. 2 people have to pick it up. And your window needs to be very tough, or buy a bracket to support it. Overall great though, I love it.

I like the fact that this unit is "Energy Star" rated. This is not a common characteristic of window A/C units. I also like the fact that this unit can be used as a dehumidifier. It runs quietly for a window unit. Installation, while not being too difficult when using the proper tools, just about requires two people.

Works very well. Not as noisy as others I have had.

You can't find a better product any where. And it saves you money every time you use it.

I like it. Works great. I'd buy this again. They shipped it and I got it in two days.

Works very good, a bit noisy, but keeps my front room cool when a 12,000btu portable wouldn't.

I am giving this only three stars because the HANDY installation people have now cancelled our install TWICE. I knew they were going to cancel. Cancel once and then cancel again is NOT the way to do business. Very disappointed with your choice of install people.

Don't buy this!! It worked great the first month, now-2 months later- it turns itself on/off at random times, won't stay on, I have to use the remote because the buttons on the actual unit don't work for some reason. We are a family of 5, I have 3 young kids and this was our only source of relief from this GA heat. I don't have $300 to just throw around so this was a big buy for us, very disappointed.

8000 btu does even keep up with a 5000 btu since day one doesn't cool like it should. Purchased 2 yrs ago at almost 400$ with shipping and now we are searching to buy a new ac that will cool. oh, we tried calling customer service, and we did the reset with no help. honestly, i would not waste your money like I did.
