before buying this one i bought supposedly the exact same PRODUCT from Amazon ( IT DID NOT FIT AND WORK) .. WALMART is 8.4 high .. other sellers list, same brand and says it fits are 81/2 high and a little thicker . don't know why only Walmart one fits completely in.
Quality good. Pricey. Costs add up for supplies to keep undercounter ice maker working in top shape. We like this brand filter best, as it is easy to use and reliable.
I don't like to be without filters. This is my third Kitchen Aid under the counter ice maker and I have found changing the filter and cleaning it are the life of the ice maker. BYW - my ice maker is my favorite appliance!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't buy the knockoff on the web. It doesn't fit. This filter fit my KitchenAid ice maker perfectly and gave me piece of mind for clean ice.
Easy to order, quick in delivery. Very good product and service.
I got this a week ago after my old one quit after 19 years.
This is our first ice machine with a filter. The ice is crystal clear!
Purchased on 2 occasions. A service technician had to come out twice to figure out why the ice make was not working and not making ice. Tech said it was due to the water filter. Once the filter was removed, there were no issues with the ice maker. Will not buy these again.
Doesn't work
My Kitchenaid ice maker is less than two years old and these filters are a joke. I've NEVER had one last 9 months, typically the ice maker quits making ice after only 2-3 months and requires either a new filter or removing the filter in order to start making ice again. At this rate I'll be paying $200-300 per year just to have ice with a filter. We don't have hard water or sediment in our water supply, so this is a scam to get the recurring revenue from filters.
