Whirlpool Top Load Electric Dryer with AutoDry™ Drying System

A lot of the one star reviews complained about this dryer not getting hot. They said it took forever to dry their clothes. Because it had the features I wanted , I bought it anyway along with an extended warranty just in case. I am so glad I did buy it. I love this dryer. It gets plenty hot. Most of the time I use the low temperature setting. My clothes dry very very quickly. I didn't know if I would like the drop down door but It is great too. No more accidentally dropping small items on the floor. It has been many months since I purchased it and there have been no problems.

The electric heater move from gas has shown slighty slower drying times but overall more savings if you're on solar. In addition, the cool down feature is not great for specific fabrics. Just keep an eye on how you want to dry your specific fabrics. 4 out of 5 stars is a fair rating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All good regarding drying, but the filter on the top is not convenient and brings dust out when pulled out for cleaning. Also, when the filter is pulled out, the metal of the dryer space is very sharp and it is easy to get cut when trying to clean the dust.

The cycles have to be longer to dry

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's brand new and makes an annoying high pitched whistle. I had a repair guy come out but of course it didn't make the noise right away so he didn't even try to look at it. Only makes the noise when heat is running so it could be dying already.

I only knew that I was not getting this dryer when I received an email saying thank you for canceling your order. I had to contact customer service to figure out what was going on, only to find out they don’t deliver to my address. Waited three weeks to find this out.. ended up finding it $110 cheaper elsewhere anyway! Thanks, Walmart!

It doesn't dry well! I have to run it for 2 hours sometimes on high and clothes are still not completely dry. Also there is a lot of moisture (actual water droplets) on the door after one hour of drying on high. I've never seen that. The vent is collecting lint on the opposite side of the vent which is strange too. It's the worst dryer I've ever owned! I hope it's fixable...OR I will have to deal with it until I can purchase a new one.
