Whirlpool Top Load Gas Dryer with AutoDry™ Drying System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The motor on our dryer went out and we had to purchase a new one. We think Whirlpool is a great brand and we bought this one after some research. Seems like there were great reviews, so we bought it. Simple enough for us old folks (don't need wi-fi), is quiet, and does a great job drying our clothes.

Nice large opening and roomy hamper door. A perfect replacement for my 22+ year old dryer that finally gave out. Would definitely recommend this gas dryer.

Though, the reason I stayed with Whirlpool is because my previous dryer lasted 40 years. I had very few problems with requiring minimal repair, which I was able to do on my own.

It was working fine but we wanted to match the new washer we were purchasing. However pleasantly surprise that the new dryer is significantly quieter and seemingly more efficient with a faster drying tome. Very happy thus far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have only used it a couple of times but it is very much like my Maytag that lasted 18 years. No bells (well buzz at end of drying cycle) or whistles. Just a basic efficient dryer with hopes it lasts 18 years!!!

I have a fancy new style overpriced unit in my summer house and have had several problems with it in the first 18 months. New appliances are grossly overpriced, and extremely unreliable! The old designs work best!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer about a month ago because my exensive dryer kept breaking and it would cost as much as this dryer to repair the old one (for the second time). It's a little smaller than my last dryer which means the capacity from my washer to dryer has changed a bit as well, but it just takes a little longer for my clothes to dry. I don't like how the door slams and if it doesn't shut all the way, the dryer won't start, so that is why I am giving it 4 stars, but if you need a cheap dryer that does the job, this seems perfectly fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality of dryer is not as good as expected. Very light and I had to get an adapter for the gas line as dryer input was down sized. Louder than the old dryer. The lint filter on the top of the dryer is harder to clean. The door opening down instead of to the side is a great feature. Drying time is good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dryer works well, however you cannot use dryer sheets with this dryer as they stick to the vent and almost caused my motor to overheat. Thankfully I smelled a burning odor and was able to determine what was wrong. I have switched to dryer balls which are working good however if you are someone who wants to use dryer sheets, this one is not for you.
