Whirlpool WDT970SAKV 47 dBA Black Stainless Dishwasher with 3rd Rack

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I love this dishwasher. It's very quiet. It really is fingerprint resistant and cleans very easily if there are any drip marks. Love the front indicator light, which tells you what part of the cycle is on. It also has an indicator that tells you if the dishes are clean. The capacity is amazing. I can fit so many more dishes inside compared to my previous dishwasher, which was a 15 year old tall tub Maytag. The top rack is great for large utensils that are too big for the cutlery basket. Only small mugs or glasses can fit in the top rack, but that's not a problem for me as there is lots of room in the bottom racks. Dishes come out sparkling without pre-rinsing. My only complaint is that the regular cycle is very long - 3.5 hours, but I think that might be typical for energy efficient dishwashers these days. If you need a shorter wash time, there is a quick cycle which takes about 1.5 hours, but the dishes don't really dry, so you need to towel dry them.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) After 1 &1/2 months it's working great! Very quiet! We use quick wash and it takes 1 hour 15 mins, dishes are spotless! Holds way more dishes than our old kenmore, third rack is great for knives and weird kitchen utensils.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Our old dishwasher was leaving white particles on the inside of tall glasses. Sometimes you could run your hand on the outside of an item and feel sandy deposits. I just completed entertaining for the holidays, and used the machine once or twice a day. Fabulous!! And so quiet, I often double back to make sure it is running.

Top rack lift adjuster keeps on breaking, only the left side of it. We had to replace it for the 5th time and it's broken again. I'm not sure what to do. We stopped loading the top rack full since we thought we were loading too heavy but even with lighter load, it keeps on breaking.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Top rack is useless The control panel got wet along the top and they just came and replaced it. This is my second dishwasher since Jan 2023. The same thing as last time except the wet control panel shorted and they sent me a new machine.

I bought this dishwasher a few years ago and it worked great while it lasted. Large capacity and clean dishes. But now after 3 years of use it does not work and gives an error code saying that its control module needs to be replaced. The parts and labour to fix it cost as much as a new dishwasher. Why can't they make long lasting appliances like they used to?

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Right out of the box the washtub itself leaked from one of the folded seams. It surprised even the service technician. The worst part is they are not replacing the entire unit...nope...they are replacing only the wash tub. So I have to wait for them to source the part, ship it, then schedule a service call which I then have to spend the whole day waiting for...something as major ad the washtub leaking...just replace the unit. Very poor repair policy in my opinion. 2 of 3 whirlpool products don't work...not a good average.
