(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this dishwasher about a month ago. It is amazing and I love the third rack. I don't have to worry about small items falling to the bottom, the large knives, and other utensils are perfect on that rack. The machine is very quiet as well.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We got the dishwasher and it works beautifully, it is quite quiet as I always set it to run at bedtime. I have had no problems, I can load the dishwasher fully with out having to do some of the dishes by hand, as I had to with my last dishwasher. I think if we need anyother appliance it will be a Whirlpool.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this DW last month after my old Whirlpool gold DW completely stopped working plus it had stopped cleaning properly. I really liked the racks in the old DW but didn't like the small cutlery holder. I did like the removable large utensil holder, and the fold down racks on the second rack, esp for holding wine glasses in their place. I also liked the "clips' where you could attach small things like lids to prevent them from going astray. I do like the third rack for more cutlery on my new DW. I wish the racks had more configurations like my old ones, esp on the bottom rack where you could fold one or two of the sections down to accommodate large things like casserole/roast pans. The first rack on the new one doesn't convert at all. The second rack has one section that can fold down but I don't like how it can't properly hold things upright such as soup bowls and sometimes even glasses will fall over! I do like the much larger cutlery holder plus the third rack for extra cutlery ot larger baking utensils. I appreciate that there are 3 cleaning sprayers. The older racks seemed much stronger than the newer ones! The new DW so far cleans well [although i can't stop myself from rinsing dishes before putting them in! The new DW is quieter but takes so much longer for a cycle [likely a much less powerful motor?]. I am also not keen on the hidden controls although it does give a much sleeker appearance. I just hope this new model lasts a good 20 years like my old one but somehow doubt it due to built-in obsolescence! I wish manufacturers would keep a supply of parts for years to fix older models as it bothers me that we have become such a disposable society!
It washes my dishes well, just like the last one did before it crapped the bed. I haven't had any dried on bits in the few weeks I've been utilizing it. The reason I didn't give this machine 5 stars is because the top rack is LOW due to the upper bonus rack that's for awkward utensils. While the top rack IS adjustable, it's still very low even at the highest setting. I'm only 5'3” and I feel it's too low. Just wait til my 6'6” hubby gets a wild hair and decides to load it…
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) My last dishwasher was very noisy so when I was making a new purchase the one thing I wanted to have was a very quiet dishwasher. This model is 48 dB and you can barely hear it when you're sitting in the same room. I also tried one with a third rack which is good for flatware. The only thing I would change is that the interior is stainless steel and the racks are all very dark gray so when you're putting on silverware on gray rocks in a stainless tub it's a little difficult to see. Racks that would be in a contrasting colour white or lighter gray or blue would make it a little bit easier to use.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Must admit I find it very frustrating loading this dishwasher compared to my 25 yr old one. I find the cereal bowls topple over on bottom rack and if put on top rack no place for other things as glasses etc. I keep trying different spots to load. Must admit dies a good job of cleaning . Guess I will just have to get used to it!!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Bought this dishwasher a month ago, it's definitely noisier that the Kitchen Aid that it replaced. It does get the dishes clean and dry which was the main goal as the one replacing was not getting the job done. Overall decent. My only real complaint is the silverware rack. The advertising for this model shows a three piece rack one of the main reasons we bought this model. It came with a one piece rack that doesn't even fit in the space. Called customer service and tried to explain to them. She finally got what I was asking for I thought. She sent me a new rack that is exactly the same as the original rack! Still waiting to get this issue resolved but as of now no luck , getting very frustrated.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We replaced this unit with a 20-year old whirlpool dishwasher, which was top of the line at the time and rated as "whisper quiet" or something to that effect. We could hear the hum upstairs in the bedroom. You can barely hear this one when it is running. I have an issue though with the positioning of the drain outlet. The elbow on the hose can only be attached at 90 degrees left or the right of the machine, which is ok if you have a side exit in your cabinet. If your drain needs to exit towards the back, the semi-rigid hose has to form a “S” curve as you push the machine into the cabinet, which likely puts strain on both the plastic drain outlet and the hose. This also causes the machine to end up at a slight angle instead of being flush in the front because the hose bunches up in the back. There is presumably a test cycle that can be run after installation, but the instructions are generic and not specific for this model. There are certainly some improvements in functionality versus my 20-year old unit, but for the most part it has an all-plastic frame and connections, that feel cheap.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Dishes need to be rinsed well before being put into the dishwasher. This is not as great as my previous Bosch Dishwasher. This is what came with her brand new home and for the time being it works. It will probably be traded out soon.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have been experiencing Drain problem error codes since the unit was installed. The Appliance Pros warranty technician further damaged our cupboards when he moved a drain line cupboard. The drain pump has now been replaced, but we still don't know if the problem has been resolved. The service technician - who has been at our residence twice - has been far less than thorough in investigating the error code problems, and seems to be in a hurry to leave our residence versus ensuring that the problem is resolved.
