(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We are remodeling our kitchen for the first time in 30 years and new appliances were a must. While I would have liked a fancy new fridge, the existing opening we had meant that I needed to be practical and choose one that would fit in the space we had. I love the space in this fridge. Compared to our old freezer on top model, this one holds so much more. I also love the ice maker in the freezer, although you must dump the first five loads of ice which tasted very “chemically”. It is great now though. The only negative is that, compared to my old model fridge, the drawers in this one seem very flimsy and I hope they last. Seems to be that everything made today is not as heavy duty as it used to be. Overall though, love the look!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We bought this two months ago replacing a 22 cubic foot side by side. Although we had ice and water in the door of the side by side, we have not missed that feature that much. Without an ice maker in the fridge area, we have much more room in the fridge than in the past. The freezer compartment still has lots of room even though the ice maker is in there. The two crisper compartments are not as stable and the humidity controls can get in the way when you close them. This is an area Whirlpool could look at (reason for a 4 star on design). Love the large pull out tray. The ice maker is a little noisy but so was our last one. Overall, we like the fridge and the amount of room we have.

Also feel short changed, no butter compartment or egg container. Will probably need to buy some organizer's on line.

On deliver the one door had foam leaking through the seam so we've called and will have it replaced ( will take a couple months). Crisper and deli drawers do not slide easily at all and seem flimsy. I'm very worried they won't stand up over time. We are currently being very careful. Drawers have to be lifted to get them to slide, but then they easily catch on the tab that controls humidity ( not a great design). I expect this will be the first thing to break. Lots of space in freezer and fridge. Good layout. Mainly concerned about durability. They do NOT make things like they used to! Haven't hooked up the ice maker yet so I cannot comment on that.

I bought this a month ago and have had nothing but problems with it. The freezer frosted over and and froze my food so much it had to throw everything out. the vent in the back of the fridge even started to freeze over. We called the company we bought it from and they basically washed their hands of it and said it was our problem and to call Whirlpool ourselves. They sent a technican out and wanted to replace the freezer door and seal,but it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get the part in. NOT HAPPY at this point. We made numerous calls fought us tooth and nail but they finally agreed to send us a new one. This was even with our warranty by the way. Would not recommend this fridge at all. I dont even want the same fridge because of our experience but the company we bought it from said no,which i dont understand. youd think they would want us to get a product that we are happy with.
