(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Installed 3 months ago. 2 of us in the house. We got rid of a small chest freezer due to less space. The new fridge and freezer have plenty of room for us. Great shelves on the doors. Love the clear baskets that allow you to see what is in them.
We were looking for a white, side by side, 26 cubic foot refrigerator with no ice maker in the door, and this refrigerator fits that perfectly. So far so good.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought the fridge a month ago and working well. Setup was easy. Unit has more space than our prior fridge. Wish the unit had an extra meat drawer and more slots to adjust the fridge shelves. I was going to purchase an extra shelf and or shelf but prices for each was astronomical for basic plastic or glass. Making accessories more reasonable would clearly drive increased sales and profit.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have had this side by side for a month.Lots of room in fridge and freezer.Shelves are well laid out and nice bright light in both sides. The compressor seems to be running most of the time and has a high pitched sound that is very irritating. There were no leveling legs.So when we pull on the handles the fridge moves. There are holes where the legs should go but no legs.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Enjoying BUT Fridge door not properly sealed and slight height difference
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It looks nice and roomy , but it's very noisy when running.
I purchased this unit to replace a nearly identical model that died after 5 years. The new fridge sits extremely low to the floor, with the frame resting a tight 1/16" from the floor. I have spent over 3 hours on the phone with Whirlpool representatives to confirm if the rollers have an adjustment mechanism and no one from Whirlpool can confirm or deny this. I have been told to adjust the leveling feet, which this model does not have. I was then told that it has no leveling feet, but they were unsure if the rollers could be adjusted. The last rep tried to sell me a warranty in case I damaged it while trying to tighten the hex bolt for what may be a lifter mechanism for the rollers. How does the manufacturer not know this information? Whirlpool, if you read this, please confirm this information here and do not ask me to call you again. This should be a simple yes or no question. Additionally, the fridge had silicone grease globs EVERYWHERE inside the unit and required extensive cleaning with Goo Gone to clean this up so it did not transfer around the house.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The layout was very good;color white good, no water dispenser in door a positive. after 2 weeks we called in a Whirlpool warranty technician. He assured us the noise level was normal and not a malfunction. Our vendor would not take it back and so we cut our losses, gave it away and bought a very quiet GE rated highly by CR(79) The Whirlpool was rated by CR in the 60s with numbers of users saying they were dissatisfied because of noise.Next time I will consult CR from the outset. However we were in a bind because our 20 year old fridge stopped working , we needed something right away and the Whirlpool had exactly the same convenient layout as our 20 year old very quiet GE.The cooling/freezing on the Whirpool were fine
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Generally fairly happy with the new fridge. Only problems are it is noisier than our old one so we've had to install sound absorbing panels around it. And getting the temperatures right is tricky. One position and the fridge or freezer is too warm. Adjust slightly, wait a day or two and it's too cold. We're still trying to get it right.
We bought this unit last year in September, we got it in November 2021, worked ok till late December and notices food started to go bad. I defrosted it and after that worked ok for month and same thing happened. We re-defrosted it and again worked fine for month and same thing happened. We finally got technician to come in and found faulty sensor, which he replaced it. A month later we got same issue, looks like not defrosting, we booked for technician to come in again. We have wasted money on spoil food 4 times now. Not happy with this product.
