Whirlpool WRS331SDHM 21 Cu.Ft. Freestanding Side by Side Refrigerator

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We love our fridge. This is our second side-by-side from Whirlpool. We upgraded to this one because of the ice maker and filtered water which we are loving. What is interesting is the fridge part is the exact same square feet as our previous Whirlpool but because the layout is different, e.g. bigger door shelves, it seems huge compared to our last fridge. More lighting too. We've very pleased.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Our recently purchased Whirlpool fridge has proven to be a very good decision. There is ample room for all our groceries. The shelves on the door allow for many taller bottles, like milk and juice cartons, tall salad dressing bottles and large jars. The freezer is a bit less roomy than I would have preferred but I am getting used to it. We especially love the ice and water dispenser.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Every thing is going well and we so far are enjoying it. We like opening only one door to get in fridge and the freezer it easy to organize. We have a couple small dent in the fridge door but have been told with in a few months it will get replaced. So happy so far demand sales guys were great.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We had limited dimensions to work with, so this fridge was the best value and one of the few that could work for the space. I do like having a water and ice dispenser option. After using the fridge for several months, I found with the side-by-side configuration, the square footage inside seemed smaller than our old fridge, where the freezer was below the fridge. I also wish that I could use all of the shelves in the fridge. However, I would not be able to store a 4L jug of milk upright, so I had to take out a shelf to make space for that. but now there is some wasted vertical space without that shelf. But overall, the fridge suits our needs, and I'm still learning to find new ways to make better use of the slightly more limited space.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Equipment works well temperature wise. Have to shut off the ice maker or it always tries to harvest every 30 minutes or so. Fridge shelves should be adjustable. Major drawback.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Over all its a good fridge, the problem is with leveling it. Apparently they can not level it, so stuck cardboard under one wheel.

Good fridge, except: 1) the water dispenser spout is installed far out, almost beyond the freezer door, and the drip tray doesn't catch the drips, so there is a constant water stain down the freezer door. If there was an additional tray to purchase which extends a little, I would purchase. 2) as soon as the fridge door opens, the fridge floods with condensation like no other fridge I've seen. Not sure if there's a way to prevent this, any feedback would be great. Other than those two negatives, the fridge is good.

I have always regretted purchasing this fridge. I hate it. Our previous fridge died around Christmas time a year and half ago and I was hosting family. Being without a fridge was very challenging and most models were weeks to months to get back into stock. We found this one and purchased it. The freezer has barely any room because the ice maker and dispenser take up like 1/3 of it. There is not enough room for anything - as a family of 4 its easier just to go grocery shopping every 2-3 days rather than trying to fit a cartload of groceries in the fridge. Now this week this is not working. The condenser and fan are running but the fridge is warm. Very disappointing that after 1.5 years this is running so poorly and no I didn't purchase an extended warranty.... I usually trust the reviews and craftmanship, like a fridge should work for like 10 years, I should not have to spend extra money on something that whirlpool sells and markets as being a quality product.

This fridge was part of the new appliance package that came with out new house. It consistently makes a high pitched whining noise. Had a tech cone and look for an issue. He said that is a normal noise and nothing can be done. We live in a 2 story house and the fridge noise carries across the whole main level. Even company have asked what is that noise?! This noise is going to drive me nuts! Would not recommend buying. I would not recommend buying this fridge

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We ordered this fridge on April 26, 2024 and was delivered on May 8, 2024. Delivery personnel were excellent. I spent time to ensure the fridge was level - bought runners that I added to the rear and one side. All was good for thee weeks - fridge worked great. Then, things with the fridge took a turn - fans still running but temperatures in the fridge side were 14 degrees C. Called Whirlpool - an excellent technician (Dong) came to our home and analyzed the problem. The circuit board that controls the defrosting was defective. This circuit board was replaced 2 days later. One month has passed. All is working good. With this experience, I opted to buy the opted to buy the Extended Warranty Package. This new high efficiency model did replace a Whirlpool model we bought 25 years ago. Not a wonderful start but I do understand circuit boards do fail.
