(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The fridge is good. The freezer features big and roomy works great . The crisper could be bigger . The seal around the fridge door was not adhering to the door itself. Cool air was escaping from the bottom of the door. If the technician didn't discover it may have taken awhile before the issue was noticed. The seal is still bucked however Whirpool has agreed to replace the door . Customer service was excellent both by the technician and Whirpool staff . The fridge itself I'm confident will be working great once be little kinks are ironed out .
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I brought this fridge last December 2026. I am glad that I did. It has lots 8f space in the fridge. The only thing I don't like is the crisper on the bottom. The vegetables don't seem to stay as fresh in the drawer. It would be nice if the flexi-slide bin was on the other side of the fridge.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this a month ago and noticed inferior workmanship in the steel sheet bending execution. The lower door (refrigerator door) upper right corner has some protruding sharp corner, which potentially would hurt consumer. There seems to be some production quality control loop hole
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) After a good 20 year run with my previous fridge, I found myself 4 days before Christmas needing to replace it with not a lot of inventory available to deliver on short notice. I chose this unit as I liked the door bins and the Flexi-Side drawer. The capacity is fantastic and can get a lot of items in both the fridge and freezer compartments with no crowding of items. I initially found it noisy, but have since gotten used to it. The reason why I am giving it 3 stars is due to design flaws. I find the glass shelves 'flimsy' with no support on the rear wall and only a thin ledge on the sides where the shelf rests. I find the middle shelf will sag if heavier items are placed in the centre area. I thus have to ensure these types of items are more to either side of this shelf or on the upper or lower shelves where there is more support. I also chose this fridge as I like having separate bins for produce and appreciate how smoothly these units open/close. However, I am not happy with how little I can get in each as the capacity is not great. Fundamentally, this is a good fridge, but with some design adjustments it could be a great appliance.
The only stainless steel finish available for the WRT318FZDM model is Monochromatic Stainless Steel. It appears that through a manufacturing error, the freezer door was finished in Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel. - The freezer door has a smooth finish while on the fridge door you can feel the stainless steel grain. - The photo shows that the reflection in the freezer door is more detailed since Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel has a coating. - How is this possible? This finish is NOT available on the WRT318FZDM model. I called Whirlpool since we wanted the fridge to be replaced - if there was 1 manufacturing error, then there are probably others. - I spoke to a CSR who asked me to respond to her text with a photo. - She reviewed the photo and agreed that the doors had different finishes, but said I had to speak to a supervisor. - Eventually I was connected with a supervisor. - He was dismissive and rude. - He looked at the photo and said he could not see any difference in the door finishes and if there was it was just a cosmetic problem! - I said I would post a bad review - he responded that Whirlpool didn't care about bad reviews!
Stay away from this or similar or similar to this unit or to whirlpool if you can - Mine only lasted a year and two months, compressor died and not under warranty. Some fridges comes with 10 yr compressor warranty and this one is NOT!!!!. Very very disappointed.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have had the fridge delivered last sat. But could not be plugged in as they said I needed a Plummer to unhook a water line on my old fridge that never had an ice maker or water. So the Plummer came nothing was wrong. I put the new fridge in but have called the store where I purchased it because it tilts forward. The feet do not touch the floor and when I screw them out they still don't. I was informed by the gentleman that those feet are only to stop the fridge from rolling. Iam very disappointed as Iam a single mom and that was a lot of money for a product that has to sit tilted forward. I know know what not to buy again.
I bought this model in 2018, with no garantee. Funny enough, problems started 24 months after I got it, which was the lenght of the offered garantee I refused. Initially, the issue was that the bottom part was freezing all it contained. I tried to switch the temperature modes, but it made no difference. A couple of months later, it just stop working all together. Both the freezer and the fridge section were not producing cold. I tried to unplug it, reset the temperature, to no avail. I schedule a Whirlpool pro to come and try to repair it, told us it could not be repaired, that we ha to buy a new one. I will stay away from Whirlpool going forward.
We purchased a trio of products with great excitement and have been very disappointed and bogged down with problems from the products and also the service we have received. Just two months after purchasing, we noticed that the middle level of the fridge was freezing all items that were in the middle to back area of the left side. Beans, salad, salsa, and anything that we put there. The bottom level of the fridge was making everything damp. Moisture seeping into things that shouldn't be getting wet (bread) and were sealed. We called and complained to Whirlpool on 3 separate occasions. They sent 3 technicians over 3 visits and the technicians spent a total of 10 minutes (all three visits combined). They literally opened the fridge, looked inside and said it was fine. Nothing other than opening fridge and looking inside fridge. No testing or reviewing of mechanics or electrical. We complained to Whirlpool repeatedly and to the Brick (where it was purchased) and no one wants to help. It is not even a year old but the nightmare seems ongoing. We don't use the middle to back of the fridge on the middle and bottom levels. This new fridge has been a horrid LEMON and I would recommend everyone to stay away from it. I waited so long to purchase the item and went with Whirlpool because of reputation for quality and service. What a disappointment and let down on all fronts.
I normally don't do any reviews but the quality of this fridge is just so cheap. The rubber door seals keep falling off and because of this, the door doesn't properly shut. The cooling aspect of the fridge is either too much or not enough. When I put it on the recommended cooling setting, most of my food located towards the back of the fridge ends up freezing whereas the freezer is barely freezing the food. This is simply not worth the money. I'd recommend spending a little more and buying something of greater quality.
