Love the new washer. Lots of features.

Veronica December 22, 2024

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) OMG, I am so happy with my washer. It still does everything a front load does but better. It's nice to see your clothes actually get washed with water.

Aesthetically Pleasing Design

DebOuellette September 30, 2024

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Aesthetically this washing machine looks great. I do miss the counter for time remaining in the washing cycle. Also no signal (alarm) that load is completed. I am not excited that I had to pay extra for detergent and fabric softener dispensers. See thru lid is very nice and the 6.1 cu ft size is amazing. Removable agitator, big bonus! I would recommend this washing machine to family and friends.

Learning the machine

Washerman December 26, 2024

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Truly something to try to operate, completely different what we were using before. Lack of water is something that is unusual but that's what it does.

Pros and Cons

Laundry Guru May 9, 2025

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This washer has been used for about one month. The gently sloped lid looks stylish but makes it challenging to use the surface for items that might slide off. The spin system is much more effective than my old washer but the wash cycles are longer. One load of bulky items needed to be re-distributed after a spin caused the machine to vibrate out of position. The removable agitator and optional extra rinse are super-helpful.

Differnt

Traca November 10, 2024

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It took quite a while to get use to this washer. Is used less water than I would expect and I am not fully sure it washes as it should. It also makes a weird whirring noise as the agitator is turning to wash. Wish I could of heard it running before purchasing.

Good features, bad performance and VERY LOUD

KimK March 3, 2025

The main reason I chose this machine was the large size and removable agitator, I wanted to be able to wash my king size quilts at home. While they fit fine with the agitator out I am hugely disappointed in the machines actual performance. To start with it is so loud, every aspect of it when in use is so noisy. Even when using the Deep Water setting, the machine does not fill with even close to enough water before it starts to "agitate" to clean the clothes. I understand that this is a water saving feature but it needs to actually cover the clothes so they move and get washed. Even though it does continue to add water as it progresses through the wash cycle, there is still not enough to cover the clothing ever. So unsure of the point of the agitating when there is no movement of any of the fabric because there is not enough water, with or without the agitator. The lock feature on the lid is ridiculous, on day 32 of owning this machine, it got stuck and wouldn't unlock or continue the cycle. The solution from the company was to send out a repair person in 10 days, by which time the clothes would have been rotted and mouldy. Unplugging didn't help, nothing worked until my husband googled how to reset the machine. It drained, we were able to finally get it to rinse and spin out. My 3 calls to the help line should have given us this solution instead of saying there was no override and we would need to wait. You have 30 days to get a refund or new machine, after that it becomes a warranty only issue and you wait for service, however long that may be. The glass lid, while it looks pretty is completely useless once the water does start to fill, it fogs up and you can't see how the laundry is progressing anyway. Would I buy another Whirlpool washer based on this one, absolutely not.

Dirty Clothes

Jackie July 17, 2024

Just bought this machine today. I'm very disappointed, I put in a load of my family's dirty jeans (mud, grease, oil) you know everyday farm clothes, and they came out just as dirty as when they went in, they were wrapped around the agitator, I'm on my second round of washing now, trying a smaller load, which is why I bought the 6.1 for bigger loads. Definitely like my front load washer better and the cheap plain Jane washer at our rental place better. Very disappointing!!

Not worth it

Disappointed June 8, 2024

Do not waste your money. Problems within first 6 months. Makes a noise while washing and now will not start just makes ticking noise. Regret this purchase.

Don't buy this unit. It's garbage!!!!

Unhappy customer September 26, 2025

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This washing machine is a piece of garbage. I tried to wash a comforter the other day and I set it on bulky items and after 50 minutes, I went to check on whether it was done or not. It wasn't, so I came back in another 30 mins and when I went to take it out of the washer, it was still saturated. I then set it on normal wash and came back 50 minutes and the same thing happened. Both washings were done with the agitator out, but both times, the item was not spun out. I then decided to set it on drain/spin and after another hour, the item was finally dry enough to go into the dryer. There is no way you know when the washer is going to time out…there is no way to have the rinse cycle use cold water… and if you want to add something to the wash or redistribute the load, you have to shut the whole thing down and restart the process because the lid locks until it's totally finished.

Buyer beware

Mars75 August 10, 2025

I was looking for a large drum washer to do my bedding without complication. After hearing about Whirlpools washer with removable agitator I thought this was the one!!! Boy was I wrong. It really doesn't wash anything/ just sloshes stuff around it's super noisy as well. I've had it for 1.5 years and it's already making a weird noise during the spin cycle. I've never been so disappointed in a product. I would never recommend Whirlpool ever. And Whitlpool….do better. You used to make a product you could put your name behind- not so much now.
