My go to product for priming cabinet doors and drawer fronts. An even, but kind-of thick (don't puddle), coating gives a perfectly primed surface when lightly sanded with a very fine grit 220 A good quality waterbased urethane trim enamel applied with a quality brush, like Purdy, (I roll on and then backbrush) can result in almost factory quality or smooth, oil-based-paint-like finish. Recently, double sided for 2 small cabinet doors and three drawer fronts in shaker-style, I emptied almost two 13oz cans of this primer. It says "water based" but smells of solvent. It dries super fast. I also use this to spot prime knots to prevent bleed through of tannins with pine or oak
This is the first time using this to prime my craft items before painting or them, and I am impressed with how well it covered the materials with a single coat. It sprays perfectly in any direction and can be used on almost any material including fabric, wood, metal etc. I will definitely be using this from now own since it was easy to use, dried quickly, and only needed a single coat.
I have never used a paint and primer in one before, I was surprised and in complete shock on how well my bullet cement edger just turned white without it soaking in. When I started my project I was excited that my design wasn't going to just fade into the cement. Already went and got a 2nd can
I bought 3 different spray paint cans including Krylon to paint an older ice maker machine that was really yellowed. This was by far the best.
I liked the convenience of applying without a brush %26 quick drying. I disliked the bright white color which was difficult to cover with one coat of epoxy. I disliked the over-spray that occurred with the benefit of not using a brush. I like that during three rainstorms there is minimal effect, some, but minimal.
You really want to use this in a very well ventilated area and follow all safety precautions. That said, it does the job well. You might want to also use a mask. It will leave an odor that may irritate people with respiratory issues. Use caution and allow plenty of dry time.
This product covers stain very well. However, the spatter and dripping from the nozzle as you spray causes a huge mess and adds lots of cleanup to your project.
Will not buy this primer again. it was very hard to get a smooth coat it cakes up and left a gritty finish. The spray head clogged very easy. i had to sand down my project and purchase another prime to cover it.
I've bought three cans of this stuff and not one of them worked. They didn't spray. They just seeped out of the nozzle
I placed an order for spray primer 5 can and one stencil, I spent and extra 10 dollars for delivery. I received the 5 dollar stencil but not the 50.00 dollars worth in primer. I DID NOT SPENT 10.00 TO HAVE ONE STENCIL DELIVERED. I am going to cancel my membership because this store can't get it right no matter what!
