Whitmor Double Rod Closet System, Metal with Resin Connectors, Silver and Black, Adult

I have been digging through piles of items in my bathroom closet. It's annoying and a back breaker at times. Now I can place items on this shelf and see everything that is there without all the hassle. My closet door is very narrow, and a fully assembled unit would not have fit through the doorway. Thanks to the easy of assembling the shelves, I was able to put it together inside the closet space.

I'm in love with this thing. My room doesn't have much closet space, plus I have a nasty habit of throwing all my clothes on my bed, then having no room to sleep. This is probably THE best solution out there. I did a lot of research for different clothing racks and freestanding closets and I'm so happy with the choice I made. PROS: assembly doesn't take long, instructions are very clear, SO sturdy (it's holding a lot of my clothes & a ~50 lb. laserjet printer), 2-tier + shelves, space efficient CONS: not easy to assemble for a weakling like me (you really have to push the bars into the holes, and push them in good. i have zero upper body strength. i was sweating profusely halfway through.) and it's easy to confuse which black bars go were... you'll see what i mean. just make sure you read the instructions THOROUGHLY. don't be lazy and skim (like me). IN SUMMARY: buy this. then get your husband/boyfriend/guy you've friendzoned/male neighbor to assemble it.

It looks exactly as I expected and was very easy to put together. Trust me, the box looks more intimidating than it should. It doesn't wobble, which is something that i was very worried about. It's in a high traffic area (sharing a 1 bedroom apt with 3 people) and it holds up to three girls hanging random things off of.

I bought 2 of these. They are very easy to assemble, and fit in my closets perfect, I got one for each closet. The material is excellent, and they look very good. This is an excellent choice to do a closet make over and a better organization without having to measure, or do installation. I am very happy!

This is a large, extremely sturdy and attractive storage unit, which I put this together single-handedly in a little more than half an hour! The upper hanging area is slightly taller (suitable for jackets, blazers and long shirts or blouses), while the lower area - slightly smaller - has ample space for hangers that hold folded items such as trousers and pants. The shelves are deep and suitable for storage baskets holding foldable clothing like sweaters, or shoes and other accessories. When ordering this I expected something nice, but this freestanding closet by Whitmor is even nicer than I expected. I would highly recommend it!

The box we received was completely chewed up and re-taped also we had a part package that in no way related to our product so BUYER BEWARE of that! So the reviews about missing parts I'm sure are legitimate. Otherwise easily assembled, pretty sturdy, though time will tell with all my daughters clothes on it. There of course was no place for longer items but I knew this when ordered that feature could be added. It is great to have to top shelf for additional storage but it is true that the shelf is VERY CLOSE to the hanging rod and does cause a little grief. I would recommend this product but with the above disclaimers

It does what I need it to do, all-be-it not that well...It was easy to assemble. The large spaces are shorter then an average men's shirt which means the bottom of the shirts rest on the top of the lower level or on the floor. The materials are not sturdy, after a few weeks of use the weight of the clothing has the unit leaning forward slightly. It is a convenient storage rack for my clothing. I have all my shirts hung and I use the cubbies with bins for pants and shorts. I wish it was made better but it's good enough for now.

Buckled:within two weeks from the purchase of the portable closet it collapsed! I set it up without the middle rod to hang longer items. bad idea even though the instructions says it could be done that way. it didn't state how much weight it could hold, the oversize thru me off.

The metal on this closet bends super easily. I bent it putting it together! The plastic connectors also crack easily, in some cases just by inserting the metal rods. The flimsy construction makes it impossible to put much on this before it starts to lean and topple. Don't waste your money on this closet.

It wobbled, it shook and it nearly fell down. I put it together tightly, so tight I had trouble getting it a part and back in the box. It had no instructions so I had to get them off line. That's when I realized that it had been returned the no instructions and the box had been glued, but was taped closed when I got it. I'll bet that it was put back in the box to be sold again. Wouldn't waste my money unless you don't have much to hang or stack.
