Great Quality for Money Spent
It was a little higher in fat, but we honestly have started preferring Walmart when buying premium meat cuts. The price point on this brisket was really good for a typical brisket, but the quality at the price point is what we like. This was perfect for my husband's birthday party. It was so delicious!

Very fatty inside, so it took a long time to render that on the smoker (22hrs @ 225 and with a water pan). Turned out great though! Lots of compliments on the 4th of July

It's a little cheaper at sams club. Both places aren't the cheapest but finding a whole 17 lb brisket in stock is very hard. It's pretty fatty, so if you're smoking it be prepared to trim quite a bit. I add the fat to my sausages so I don't mind too much. Over all I think its a good purchase.

It was a little tough even though I slow cooked it one hour per pound. It had a lot of fat on it. I had to empty the grease trap three times. Price is good for the amount of meat you get and it tasted good. The butcher just needs to trim off more of the fat.

Much more fat than I expected to pay for but in the seems like real meat since I bought the whole shoulder versus the glued together mystery substances sold as meat

Too much fat!!!
Next time I get one of these if I ever do I'll make sure I go in the store and pick it out myself because I cut more fat off then I think I got brisket!!!

Horrible nothing but fat... cut off more then 10 lbs of fat when it was suppose to be a 20 lbs brisket. I can understand some fat but more then half the weight of it is crazy. Not worth the money at all.

Had black aged meat all over it. I would expect a $90 piece of meat to be perfect but I guess Walmart doesn't.

I put it in freezer when I got it and when I thawed it out and went to trim it there was a worm sticking out of it and black holes on the other end . This is a safety concern for anyone who has bought one in the past month the store I received it from was Walmart on morse rd Columbus Ohio
