I've had trouble finding this in store lately so I came to the manufacturer's website in hopes to stock up which I did. It's as cheap as buying in store if you get enough to earn free shipping. I switched to this sugar months ago and feel much better about the impact on the earth, and it's better than the domino we used to buy.
I did not think there was going to be much difference from this and the regular store sugar I had been buying. Especially not enough of a difference to make it so much more expensive but I honestly enjoy this sugar so much more. I use it in my coffee every morning and it has been so much tastier. I also enjoy knowing that they do things to help the soil behind them as they farm. It makes me feel like I am doing something good for the environment just by drinking my coffee.
Great product. Used this sugar for baking and was thrilled with the results. Love that it was organic and the philosophy behind the product. Ultimately it taste, great, performed well in baking and was very fairly priced. I would highly recommend this sugar.
I used Wholesome Organic Sugar in my holiday cookie recipes. The sugar had a great texture and taste and mixed in very nicely into the two different doughs I made. The cookies had a delicious taste , too. What is especially good about Wholesome Organic sugar is that it is minimally processed and it is sourced from regenerative organic farms that are committed to using practices that help build soil health. Even the plant-baes resin pouch that holds the sugar is really cool and is mostly derived from sugarcane. This is an organic sugar you feel good about using.
I appreciate organic products; regenerative organic takes it one step further. I also look for fair trade products, especially in sugars, chocolate, coffee. Tastes great. Larger granules than "regular" sugar. Hard to cover the cost difference, but worth it if possible
I have been purchasing Wholesome sugars on and off for the past several years. My favorite is the resealable packaging that doesn't leak sugar all over the place. The sourcing and sustainability are bonuses for me. I will not pass up a deal on this brand if I ever see it.
I like the idea of regenerative soil farming. I used to garden a bit so i know the process can be hard (one year you can plant tomatoes and eggplants etc in one spot, next year they say you want to move them around since the soil changes..) The work Wholesome must put in to priduce this means good for the earth, and is like to support that even if it means it will cost a few dollars more than the usual brands out there
We really liked this sugar. It tasted like sugar and nothing else. If we did a blind taste test, we wouldn't have been able to tell the difference between this sugar and our regular cane sugar, but we love that this sugar helps restore the soil! That moves it to the top of the list!
I love cane sugar in general because I like the texture and taste. It tastes better to me and this product is also organic so it has clean ingredients. When I bake I don't have to use as much but still have the right amount of sweetness come through.
It's nice that this brand of sugar is organic and doing good things for the soil, but I didn't really notice any difference between the taste of this product and regular sugar. I used it in baking and it was fine and my husband uses it in his coffee. He didn't notice any difference in the taste. I guess if you don't use sugar that much and want to do good for the environment, then this would be a good product for you.
