Whynter Elite Dual Hose Digital Portable Air Conditioner Dehumidifier, 400 sq ft Efficiency ARC-122DS

This has been the best addition to our household yet! Our basement area is our living room, so these hot and humid summers are always hard to manage. We have been using 4 fans the past 3 summers and we wish we purchased this unit YEARS ago! It has seriously been life changing and you wouldn't even know it's in the room with you because it is so compact and quiet! Absolutely worth every penny guaranteed!

This portable AC unit had everything we needed. From the ability to cool a couple of large rooms quickly , to how quiet is it, to the value in the price, this ac is the best bang for your buck. The installation was easy. We had oversized windows in the room which required some customization (measuring and cutting) of the sliding pieces that go in the window sill to fit, but that's not the air conditioners fault. Highly recommend this unit.

This is a great unit to install in your small room. It is extremely efficient and really blows my mind I was able to install with minimal help. I'm 67 and did this manly by myself. I had help making the holes in plywood for exhaust to be set up.

Ordered this AC unit as it was getting pretty hot in the small bedroom upstairs cools the room down very fast. Currently very happy with purchase as it's only going to get hotter this summer lol

I been using it for a week and it does get cold fast. However, its not quiet. I mean its not super loud that i can't sleep, but know it does make a normal level of noise. Overall its a good ac and 10/10 would by again. Haven't use the dehumidifier and its heavily so don't try to lift by yourself.

we tried this in iur popup on 100 degree days. It did well but the fan speed needed to be faster to keep up. I think it would work great in an insulated house. 2 hoses are supposed to keep from creating a negative air pressure and drawing in outside air through leaks which seemed to work but I needed more btus or fan speed.

We have had this for a couple of months now. The unit works very very well. It cools our bedroom very fast at night which saves us having the whole house cooled. The controls are simple. The remote is a great idea. The unit has really a great feture in that 99%of the watervapor evaporates so you are not cotinuously emptying a water tank. This great especially since removing the plug is difficult since it is virtually limpossible to get this this out when the unit is plgged in to a window. The is a light which glows orange when the tank needs to be emptied. Why did I not give the product 5 stars? Two reasons. One is minor that is the time to get the unit was over 4 weeks. The second reason is more of a problem. The way rhis fits in the window is with adjustable baffles. The product features are misleading when they say adusts from fom 20 inches to 44 inches. The design of the baffles is such that to get to the gap you want to fill you may have to cut one of the adjustable pieces of plastic. Then if later you want to move the unit to another room with a wider opening the baffles are too short. This happened tous. One window was 33inches which we could not get without cutting the baffle. If we had done thar then we could not fit into our 44 inchwindows.

This was not shipped with the correct parts of the window kit. The only way for this to fit into my window was for me to cut a plastic piece. And it still sets about a foot above my bottom window sill making hard to keep the sun out. Customer service was not very helpful. The unit works as expected but am disappointed that the correct items weren't shipped and to fix it I had to purchase a saw and cut it to fit.

VERY bulky. I got this to use in my bedroom so I could turn off my central air. Had trouble attaching one of the hoses (wouldn't screw in). Cooled quickly, but wish it was more quiet. Had to duct tape the hoses to prevent them from coming undone while moving the unit. The window panel didn't fit well and I couldn't get the hose to properly attach to it, had to use lots of duct tape and it looked terrible. Seemed poorly made as there were gaps too. Not worth the money and returned. Also really sucked the hoses need to be attached to the window in order to use the dehumidifier, otherwise it gets so hot

Works 50% of the time. The other 50% it will shut off randomly and room gets overheated. I've messaged back and forth with the company and they keep blowing me off with no resolve. I'm left with no choice but to return.
