Very substantial, metal construction. The legs fold and also adjust to two heights easily. I think I'll use it in the bedroom for step up to bed, as well as a step stool. Great value for the money. I've used several times and it has been open/closed several times.
As we all know, you can never predict how far off the ground your last RV step will be. (Due to leveling required, etc.) Having this stool means that no physics degree is needed to figure out how to get in & out safely! When not on the road, our stool is in the house so that I can reach things I used to be tall enough to access!
This sturdy step stool is a life saver. It gives me the confidence to use it when I need to. It folds and is easy to store. I highly recommend it.
Strong, solid, wide and reasonably priced. Minor problem - 2 of the magnets that hold the legs up fell off. I glued them on without a problem
Using to get in and out of bed!! Perfect!
We Love it!
I just received an Easy Comforts Wide Step Stool (via an order placed with Walmart.com) for use by my middle-aged daughter, who weighs less than 200 pounds and contends with balance and mobility issues. In my opinion, the stool was overpriced, even with the discount, and could easily have been engineered to function better, probably at no additional manufacturing cost. My feeling is, this stool has some significant shortcomings! If you need a step that is rated for 500 pounds of load capacity, in my opinion, this one probably isn't a good choice for you. The one delivered to us had slip-resistant strips on the top that were of very poor quality as well as sloppily applied. They were made of a soft, easily torn, foam-type material and the adhesive used to attach them to the top of the stool was not effective for the task. When I opened the box, two had already partially pealed off, one was torn, and two had been applied so that they hung over edges. I suspect any lateral force from a foot will likely cause a tear and/or slippage. Too, there is considerable "slop" in the legs when "locked" in the ready-to-use position. I find it necessary to bend over and carefully splay them, after putting it in the position it's needed, to move the legs into their outward-most spread, before allowing my daughter to step up. If I don't, they abruptly "pop" into that position after she applies her weight. Also, the legs don't don't lock into the storage position, which I find to be a nuisance. On the positive side, the larger-than-normal top surface is useful. So, I'll make the necessary improvements and let her use it.
