Highly recommend for the fine mesh birdseed feeders. They can eat faster and better seeing there are no sunflowers or large tan sticks mixed in as with other seed types, just pure small seeds. The birds love it. Keeping them well fed in cold weather is a must at my house as they sing and entertain us daily year-round! Gives them the vitamins they need too for the extra energy supply they need to stay alive.

I have 1 tiny bird that hangs out on my porch ever single day, I'd been putting crackers out for him as I haven't been able to get out much, but I put some if this out today and the little one is so happy it's adorable, he's a wild something lol! But definitely good value!

This last bag had peanuts in it. I was so glad to see them in there because some birds and of course the squirrels love them too. This was the first time I have had them; I noticed that I didn't have much waste on the ground. For the price, this seed is very good.

This is for little birds, and there is some part of the mix in the seeds that isn't an actual seed, it's some type of additive. However, when it rains, the birds see that I've put on my deck turns to a mushy paste and the birds won't eat it. I might strongly suggest doing something else with this additive, not putting it in the small bird seed, and maybe putting another type of seed in that the small birds like. Maybe even adding a couple three or four more types of seeds in process of elimination of this additive. I only have so much money to spend on feeding the birds, they're very important to me, so I'm hoping that the company will do something about this additive.

I have a few birds and i can tell you after researching for the price you barely get anything. I get even less because now they make it with filler... the lottle red and green filler product is something most parakeets do not care for, walmart used to have this with just the tsn and orange actual seeds, which is what they love. more recently i have seen mostly the filler so I'd keep clear unless you only have 1 bird.

As for taste (what a strange question as I did not taste it), my little wild birds either did not like it or could not eat those large nuts, seeds, whatever those green things were. The squirrels ate it. Glad I did not buy any more due to the good price.

When I scattered it on the ground there was a lot of tiny flakes that blew away, so I am not certain if it was the outer casing of the millet that had rubbed in shipment or bugs had gotten into it, but it was too much - I tossed by handfuls and the percentage of material that "blew away" and didn't land on the ground indicates either filler or a problem. Don't plan on buying it again.

Walmart, please update your product description. I ordered 4 bags of this junk pet bird food unaware the product had changed its blend, as the pic on walmart.com shows the better old blend. It was not as advertised. It's garbage seed. Wild Harvest has changed the blend of this bird seed. It is no longer a suitable seed blend for zebra finches as the ingredients have changed. There is no red millet in this product or an extremely minimal amount. The ingredient list has clearly changed on the current product being sold. The package featured and the ingredients are outdated. The manufacturer should remove the zebra finch from the picture on the package. I keep finches, so I can say this new blend is poor quality. For you zebby and finch keepers out there, here is the current ingredient list that was on all the bags I purchased as of March 2026 so you as a consumer can make a more informed decision. Very fine and powdery. I was really disappointed when I opened it. Doesn't mean it's not good for your birds but not what my small to medium parrots would eat. Great price but not worth the money. Sorry.
