Willow Portable Breast Milk Cooler, Purple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use cooler, however, there is a max fill line that limits how much milk you can store. The cooler pack takes half the space of this container and if you pour milk past the fill line it spills it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to love these coolers, but there are a few flaws that make it difficult. Pros: Keeps milk cold all day when you don't have fridge access. Easy to clean. Cons: They leak. The handle is very small and makes it hard to handle the top part without touching the area that contacts the milk. Pouring milk into the container once it's partially full gets tricky because it will drip when you pull the top off. Milk fat gets stuck to the bottom of the top part and takes forever to try to swirl off at the end of the day.

I like how simple and easy to use this would be if it didn't leak and if the ice pack didn't repeatedly crack. I purchased multiple of these as I am a high producer and multiple of the ice packs have cracked within months of use. Very disappointing. I have also experienced many leaks with these carriers. They MUST be upright.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved the design of this milk cooler. Unfortunately it just was not durable enough. After only a few months of use the cooler pack cracked and then split open with the temperature fluctuations. The paint is also chipping off the outside of the bottle, perhaps from being sterilized in boiling water. Overall I'm really disappointed in the quality.

The bottle works amazing and is very convenient and easy to use. My first one lasted 4 months before the ice pack cracked so I bought a second one. The second lasted about a month and half. I thought it was a one off but when the second one did it I've decided to switch to a different brand.

So I had no initial complaints about this cooler. It's convenient for storing fresh milk on the go and compact enough to fit in the diaper bag if necessary. It wasn't until a week ago that I saw a mommy blogger doing a milk cooler comparison that it was brought to my attention it does not keep milk at a safe temperature. Unless the cooler is filled to the 16 oz and actually touching the ice holder, the milk does not go below 60 degrees. Safe milk storage is 40 degrees. I tested this information myself and in fact each time the milk temp was about 60 degrees. This is unfortunate because I do like the cooler but do not trust it to keep the milk cold enough. I am still using it when I need to but I try to put the container in a refrigerator as soon as I can, definitely wouldn't trust it for long periods of time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Didn't work for me. The cooler seems to only accommodate milk stored directly inside it. When I tried using storage bottles, they were all too large once the ice tube was inserted. It would be nice to have need to clean the cooler after each use,

It seems that the plastic doesn't like being frozen on a regular basis. Because it cracked after only 10 weeks of use. Currently looking for another product to use for pumping at work

I bought two of these coolers with hopes of using them at work. I figured they would keep my milk at a safe temperature until I got home (about 8. 5 hours). The first month back at work, all the milk I had pumped while at work EVERY DAY had spoiled; even though the cooler was inside an Air conditioned building. (And I cleaned the coolers daily) The second month back at work, I attempted to put the coolers of milk in the refrigerator immediately after pumping, even though it had the frozen ice pack (I put the ice packs in the freezer every night and used them again the next day). My milk still spoiled every day. After having to pour 2 months worth of milk down the drain, I finally gave up and switched to pouring my milk into plain plastic bottles and refrigerating them. As soon as I quit using the Willow breast milk coolers, my milk was fine and I finally was able to save up the milk I pumped while at work. While I absolutely love my Willow Go pumps, the coolers were an extreme disappointment, especially for how much I paid for them both (brand new).
