The diameter of these cords was a little bit smaller than the ones I was replacing. Also, the short cords were not long enough for the seat of my chair. It would have been better if they were sold not by the inches but by the number of grommets they need to fill. There were NO instructions so I'm sure I didn't do it right. We'll see how long they last as I had to pull really hard to fit as many grommets as possible.

Definitely not as thick as original.

I bought these for an outside recliner. I didn't realize that they were 3mm diameter. The standard is 5mm. I was going to cancel, but they processed the order lightning fast so I received them. Didn't want to go to the bother of returning them to Walmart during COVID -19 so I kept them. They are smaller in diameter and for that reason I would not have purchased them had I known. They are good quality, but not want I really wanted.
