I've got a Sodastream, and both my wife and I love Diet Dr Pepper. I bought two one gallon poly bottles with 1 ounce pumps and a Dr Pepper tap spout for the BiB. I bought this BiB and poured up two one gallon jugs at a time, putting one in the fridge until ready to use when the other was empty. In my 20 oz stainless steel tumbler, I place three scoops of nugget ice (2.5 fl oz liquid equivalent for each scoop) them two full one ounce pumps of syrup. Swirl the ice and syrup around a bit then fill to the top with seltzer. Fresh fountain Diet Dr Pepper in demand, at home. If you want to make it by the bottle, fill one bottle to the 840ml line with very cold water, carbonate on the Sodastream, then fill to the top with syrup and cap. Invert the bottle once or twice to mix.
It's exactly what the label says it is. Real Diet Dr Pepper. I use this with a commercial style fountain dispenser, brixed in a 1 to 5.5 ratio as indicated on the label. This is therefor slightly more concentrated than the more typical 1 to 5 ratio resulting in 32.5 gallons of finished beverage instead of the standard 30 gallons. I ordered on June 28, received on July 11. It has a best buy date of September 7, so only about 2 months. Diet soft drinks typically only have a 3 month "best buy" date but it will of course still be good beyond that date, so getting 2 months isn't terrible. The sticker says it was bottled in Texas. Supports both the Pepsi and Coke style attachments, my machine uses the Pepsi style.
This is excellent bag in the box soda. Had purchased this already twice already. It is a good price and plan on purchasing it in the future. At first used the syrup out of the box to make soda but now have our own soda machine. Makes great Dr. Pepper soda no difference than the real Dr. Pepper. Add Vanilla and Cherry syrups to and its just like what you get in the cans and bottles, but better. Highly recommend.
This is exactly what I was expecting. It works fine on my fountain. I just wish the local Sam's stocked it so I didn't have to pay the shipping. If it was stocked locally, I'd rate the Value as 4/5. A few notes: - This fizzes a lot more than other diet drinks when it is dispensed. I had to back the delivery rate of the soda water to about 1/2 of what the other drinks dispense at. Same mix ratio, just takes a lot longer to fill up a container. - This uses a "pepsi" style connector (slide and push to engage), not a Coke style (screws on). No biggie for me to change the connector since I had them in stock.
Makes it fun to drink soda
I had purchased this since I got a soda maker from my wife. I didn't like hardly any of the flavors either so I decided to get this from Sam's. The $7 shipping from the previous review was what drew me in but unfortunately when I added it to my cart, the shipping was $24! Oh well. I bit the bullet and went with it. When I got it, it was a lot less viscous (thick) than the generic syrups from the soda maker. I have been playing with the concentrations to make it taste exactly the same but haven't got it yet. Math will tell you 6.14 ounces per liter but that's a little sweet. I think somewhere around 5-6 is the best. It's been a while since I did titrations in college. :) Overall, I like the syrup and I love Diet Dr. Pepper but I really wish my local Sam's had this in stock as opposed to me having to ship it.
Needs to be shipped in a box not just the box it comes in. Box was torn up I had to tape it all up to keep the bag of syrup in it.
Expires next month and their claim of both bib taps fitting is a lie.
Not exactly fresh. They unload product that's 2/3rds of the way to its best before date. The bib I ordered was made 1/20/21 with a best before 4/20/21. I received mine 3/20/21. If you want the freshest, look elsewhere.
According to the label inside the BIB the Freshness date had passed by 2 days. It says Please use before 11/30/2020.
