I have only had this ball for a month and take great care of it but the "microfiber composite leather cover" is already peeling off. The ball has a plastic feel to it as well. I definitely prefer the previous design.

purchased directly from walmart.com (not 3P) the avp optx vball. package arrived and see it is the replica ball in the official box. returning to store atm so just beware if you order it, even from walmart, its actually the right one and not the "replica".

These appear to be counterfeit balls. Waiting to here back directly from Wilson to confirm but they are not the same as balls i received from Amazon at a slightly higher price. Circumference is smaller than spec, feel and finish is smooth and not pebbled like the original, colors are a bit different.

This is a total scam. The ball is advertised as official AVP lather ball, but what is shipped is a very cheap fake replica. It's not leather, doesn't sound and doen't bounce like an official Wilson AVP OPTX ball. The only similarity is the color print. Stay away from this vender!
