I really like that you can melt your chocolate and keep it warm without having to reheat it. It saves you time and money. If you you make any type of dipped treats this is a great purchase!
For many years I have used the microwave or stove (double boiler) to melt chocolate. I decided to try this because of the silicone pot. Cleaning up for me with the microwave or stove was always tedious. The silicone pot cleans so easily. The controlled temperature made this a dream.
Easy to clean an small to fit any space
This pot worked great. It kept the chocolate at a very workable temperature. I definitely am going to get a second one.
Every Christmas, I make goody bags to give out. A lot of the goodies have melted chocolate involved. The one that is everyone's favorite always makes me nervous because my chocolate has seized up (using double boiler method AND microwave) for various reasons.. and I have wasted a lot of ingredients. Last Christmas, after being completely dismayed over my chocolate seizing up, I said i'm just gonna throw all the ingredients (chocolate, butter, corn syrup) in the melting pot, so I got new ingredients and did that. At first i thought it wouldn't work, it was pretty full. But, I was patient and not only did it work.. but it worked BEAUTIFULLY!!! I am soooo happy. Just that one stressful candy (rocky road), was worth the purchase! Thanks you soooo much for this awesome product!!!!!
The Rotary Club or Redmond Or. has been doing a Daddy Daughter Dance Fundraiser for 7 years and this is always a favorite event for all the young girls, in fact, at last nights event (2/15/20), this was a major hit for the 372 daughters that were there, grades K-8. We used 2 Wilton Fountains along with the Wilton Chocolate Wafers, in the passed we used 3 crock pots to melt. What a mess, even with liners. This year we use 2 crock pots and started to melt 1-1/2 hrs before the event and then 20 minutes before the activities stared we fired up the 2 melting pots with 2-1/2# wafers in each and use these to fill up the fountains. 4 continuous hour and not a single issue. We will get 2 more melting pots for next year and 69 the crockpots.Part of the reason we had no problems this year, is that we only used large marshmallows. No crackers or smaller marshmallows that clogged the fountain. Cleaning of both fountain and melting pot was not an issue, just took some time. A whole lot less than our popcorn machine. Would recommend.
I bought the melting unit and separator for a party. For a small group, this pot was perfect. I only wish it had a lid, but it worked well and is the right size to melt one of the Wilton bags of the melting chocolate. We dipped fruit in it and it was yummy!
I got this melting pot thinking I would use it as an add-on to my dessert table. I didn't use it because it didn't melt the chocolate well. I found my chocolate to be very thick in consistency and it takes too long to warm up. I know I could have used the money I spent on this product to find something better. This is coming from a baker who swears by Wilton, no lie!
I used it a few times. It worked great...after a weeks went buy of unuse, I needed it again. When I pulled out the pot I discovered this white spots all over the inside and outside of the pot. It kind of look like a mold that developed on the silicone pot. I wish you could get a replacement pot.
I am throwing in the towel. I had one pop and it didn't work well. Took it back for a new one. It also didn't work well so I assumed it was something I was doing wrong. I have struggled through as I make pops for my grand kids birthdays and they count on them. I recently saw a newer model with a double chamber. I was hoping it would be an improved model. I was wrong and will be returning it. I bought a double boiler that works much better. And it was half of the cost.
