I haven't used this yet but it looks like something that will make decorating so much easier and less messy. Glad I purchased it.
This is a great design. For you to be able to melt the candy melts and decorate in the same container is wonderful. The bottle is very squeezable and allows great control for decorating. Easy to clean. So much better for decorating and more control than a regular pastry bag,
This bottle does just what it's supposed to do. I was expecting a plastic-like feel, but the bottle feels rubbery as it's silicon. I look forward to picking up some more optional tips to decorate with. The bottle is hand wash only, so don't throw it in the dishwasher. Also, make sure you heat the candy-melt at 50% power in the microwave.
A must have if you like to decorate cookies and candy. I like to make clean, free hand, embellishments and designs. I have bought the expensive decor kits, and I have made my own. By far this is the easiest applicator! Extremely flexible, easy squeeze, easy clean up! Just fill it up with your favorite melts, put the cap back on and microwave at 50% power. If not melted, microwave again at 15-30 second intervals until you get the consistency you desire. To keep candy from hardening too quick use a bowl of warm water to place the bottle in. (Especially if you are using multiple bottles.) Use toothpicks to clean the cap top if the candy stream starts to come out “lined” from hardening. Enjoy!
I recently got into baking and working with Melting candy and it's a PAIN to deal with! But this bottle is magic. I love it. You can microwave the bottle so it makes it so much easier and make less dishes. It makes decorating my cake pops and hot cocoa bombs beautifully drizzled
I melted my chocolate in the oven!!! It was so easy and fast. We filled the cup with chocolate then placed it on my pizza stone in a 220 degree oven. once it melted I popped on the top and was able to pipe into molds. It made the job less messy, went from the cup to the mold smoothly. And, easily cleaned up!!! Never had such an enjoyable candy making session.
I already had two of these that I use for when I make gummy candies, and I ordered two more. They all work great for the purpose except it seems like the mold made for them might've been slightly different for the caps because when I after I wash all four of them, and I go to inter change the caps that all should be the same, some of them I have to really play with to get them to catch the threads together. Once I can line them up they work fine.
I would not recommend spending money on this. Sure, it's an extra microwave-safe container in which you can melt chocolate. But I would much rather melt the chocolate in a bowl and then transfer the liquid chocolate into a plastic baggy and then cut the corner of the baggy. The advantage to a plastic baggy is that I can squeeze and put pressure to get all the melted chocolate out. But in this bottle, a large amount of melted chocolate sits at the bottom of the container with no way to squeeze it out. Same with the cap. Chocolate will sit around the cap with no way to apply pressure to get the last amounts out (see pic). Does the product work? Yes (see pic). However, I would recommend that my friends do it the old fashion way instead—melt the chocolate in a bowl, then transfer to a plastic bag with the corner cut off. Maybe this product would be better suited to someone doing larger scale decorations. But for one cake or job at a time, not worth it.
Absolute garbage. Tried everything to get it not to leak, but was unsuccessful. Found it WAY better to go purchase a squeeze bottle of Plochmans mustard, empty contents %26 use that for a grand total of $2.79 and NO LEAKING!
I bought it for making candy and get Into small creases but the melted chocolate get stuck in the top and when you put the hot melts in it the side literally suck in.
