Wilton Creamy White Decorator Icing Vanilla-Flavored 4 lb.

Bought this in a pinch when I needed icing that would be okay in hot temps. It turned out that the cake wasn’t outside after all so I can’t comment on its survivability in warm weather. What I can say about this icing is that it tastes good; not overly sweet. The consistency is smooth; no lumps and not grainy. Worked well with gel food coloring and did not get runny or loose. The icing kept its shape on cakes and cupcakes, after piping. Adding jimmies and other candy to it does not cause the color from candy to transfer to the icing or melt it. The icing’s white color is a good white that doesn’t need brightening. Everyone enjoyed the baked goods decorated with this icing.

Being a sometime-cake decorator, I find this tub of Wilton buttercream is a great substitute for when there isn't time to make it from scratch. Plus, I can add one can, any flavor of store bought frosting to a few cups of this Wilton buttercteam to make a great frosting quickly.

I have used this so many times now. Instead of going through a ton of little containers for a big party, this covers it all. It tastes wonderful, too, plus it just happens to be vegan friendly with the ingredients, so everyone can use it. It colors up pretty with food coloring, and stands up well when used with tips. I'm a huge fan of this product. Also, if you have only a little bit left and don't want to keep it around, mix it with equal parts peanut butter and spread on a graham cracker for a truly delightful treat!

I’ve never used this pre-made icing. It is thick enough to use as frosting. This icing tastes amazing and I will never make vanilla frosting again!!! The texture is perfect. You can thicken it up and pipe roses and any other things that need a little stiffer consistency.

I am a baker and I love homemade icing and such but when in a pinch or dealing with piggy flavor pallet or just needing something quick, I love this product. It is consistently the same every single time. It’s easy to also change the consistency of it say I wanna do something thicker or thinner using the right message you’re able to do so it is easy to color. It is easy to pipe it is easy to transform to another flavor… Possibilities are endless with this thank you wilton!

I have designed and decorated cakes for 30 years. This icing is absolutely delicious! its very easy to use. The texture (in my opinion) is exceptional. Along with prices going up on everything...the cost of this icing is a bit expensive. It seems to cost more everytime I purchase it. Again, my opinion....its worth it. .

Very easy to work with. I used this tub to make several different colors for icing cupcakes. Cupcakes were donated to a cake walk for a Fall Festival that was outdoors. Held up MUCH better than the regular icing that immediately melted off the other cupcakes.

This item is perfect for Christmas cookies and cupcakes, it worked SO well and tasted SO good and SO fresh. The consistency was exactly what I wanted. I would recommend refrigerating for a short amount of time before actually being used. I also used sprinkles and sanding sugar, each combination worked great. Received quickly and packaged well. I will use this product again and again.

I've been getting this for years but this year the taste is.... off.... like it's not bad but it's not good either. It also usually firms up but it stayed soft this time so I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or I got a bad batch. I got the 4lb and two 1lb tubs.

Unfortunately it arrived spoiled, I opened it and the taste was completely off. I’ve been using for years, hopefully it was just a bad batch
