If you have to have this item shipped the pacakaging is not secure enough. I have ordered 11 of these and when they ship 1/2 of them are cracked or busted.
Have ordered multiple times. Flavor is OK not great but it is easier than making it myself. A bit pricey but worth it to save time.
The icing in general was fine. I added some water to thin it out so I could pipe it, as I began to stir I noticed icing on the bottom of the cup. I looked to find out that the container had split across the bottom and the icing was going all over the place.
One of the containers used was a different shade of white. I contacted the company regarding this before serving the cookies . The only way I saw to contact Wilton was by email which took a day or two. The containers themselves are split many times. When the product is delivered I usually end up having to return some and am careful when purchasing at the store.
1 this is not icing this is frosting two completely difrent things 2 the container was super difficult to open 3 do not buy this stupid product you might as well go to the store and get the blue cap philsbary frosting for like 1/5 the price
Item was packaged damaged, the lid and container were broken and split with plastic fragments in the hardened icing . Customer service was absolutely useless . Walmart has gone downhill customer service wasn't helpful and who ever packaged this obviously is a moron
I used icing dye and it still was too hard to pipe. The price was too expensive for what it did not do. But I'm no expert.
It was a brick basically I added water and even heated it up to try to make it soft and it just instantly hardened again and wouldn't stick to anything. Just wasn't usuable at all. You're better getting a mix kit and just making it yourself. Premade royal icing in a tub like that was awful. Good thing most gingerbread house kits come with a bag of royal icing. I just was hoping this could useful as extra if I needed it.
The way everybody raved about this product, we were excited to use it at our gingerbread making party. It was supposed to hold the houses together better than frosting. Well, it didn't work. None of the houses would stick together. It simply rolled and crumbled in our fingers. It would not stick to anything. We went back to just plain frosting and that worked for us. Do not buy this product.
My recent purchase of the Wilton Ready to use royal icing was disappointing. I've used it before and was quite happy, but this time it was discolored, smelled "off", crystallized on the top and hard as a rock. I couldn't even pry it out if the tub. Had to throw it away and make it fresh from scratch. there was no expiration date printed on the tub and it was perfectly sealed so obviously it was VERY old! I will only purchase this item from Michaels, or Hobby Lobby from now on.
